A truly magnificent architect designed modern custom home awaits your visit. Nestled on 20 majestic wooded acres with its own private hiking trail, this home offers numerous comforts and amenities and is only 15 minutes to the Pearl Street Mall.

The space
Our contemporary home was designed by a local architect with walls of glass windows and a huge wrap-around deck to capture the beautiful mountain views of our valley in a tucked away, serene corner of Boulder-- only minutes away from town and the Pearl Street Mall. With more than 5800 square feet of living space, there is plenty of room for everyone and numerous amenities to make your stay a memorable one. Natural wood, slate, stone and granite are used throughout the home to create a feeling of warm modern. Our property includes over 20 acres of pine and fir trees and has its own private hiking trail (which you are welcome to use during your stay).

Upstairs is the main living area with oversized rooms in a modern, open floor plan:
- Family Room with a 60-inch 4K TV (with Direct TV, Netflix, DVD player and extensive DVD library), separate seating area for 4 and comfortable leather furniture;
- Kitchen with double-wide granite countertops and KitchenAid Architect series stainless appliances;
- Dining Room with floor to ceiling glass doors and and an expansive view of the valley along with a table that expands to seat 10 comfortably;
- Indoor fireplace that opens to the Dining Room and the Living Room;
- Living Room with a comfortable seating area for conversation, baby grand piano and massage chair;
- Enormous wrap-around main deck with a grill area, two eating areas (one seats 4 while the other seats 8). There is an outdoor stone fireplace on the main deck with a large, deep cushioned seating area for conversations under the stars;
- Three bedrooms which feature two king beds and one queen bunk bed with a twin on top. All have very comfortable mattresses (including a Duxiana in the Master). The second and third bedroom upstairs share a Jack and Jill bathroom with an extra deep soaking tub. The second bedroom has a 40-inch LCD TV with Netflix and a DVD player. The Master Bedroom has a 42-inch LCD TV with Direct TV, Netflix and a DVD player. An attached Master Bathroom features a deep soaking tub and separate shower;
- Home office with a TV, Playstation and Wii game systems and its own adjacent deck, including several outdoor lounging and seating areas;
- Laundry room with a Maytag Neptune front loading washer and dryer.

In the downstairs area is the Guest Suite, a huge room with expansive mountain views containing a king size bed, private bathroom with an extra deep soaking tub, refrigerator and microwave. The Guest Suite has a private entrance and its own shaded outdoor patio with a seating area and a 6 person hot tub. The Guest Suite includes a ROKU flat panel TV (hooked up to Direct TV and Netflix), DVD player and DVD Library.

Next to the Guest Suite is a large home gym with an elliptical machine, treadmill, mini-trampoline, ab-roller, Bow-Flex machine and free weights with a TV hooked up to Direct TV and a wall of windows. The downstairs also contains an 800 square foot playroom that is loaded with toys and games, a Brunswick pool table (with a convertible ping pong table top), foosball, air hockey, and TV viewing area. The playroom is the place for extra sleeping space for kids. There is a pull-out, full size sofa bed and a cozy reading corner with a king size mattress.

This is our primary residence--so you will see some of our stuff around--but not much and it will be very clean and well organized. We will clear out space in the drawers and closets for your clothes. We ask that you treat our home respectfully. We have animal allergies and do not have any pets. We have a strict NO PET and NO SMOKING policy.

You will have access to the entire home except for the office closet, the wine cellar and the pantry freezer.

Neighborhood highlights

Our twenty acre property is located on on Valley Lane, a beautiful tucked away and private valley in Boulder. We have our own private hiking trail that you are welcome to use. It takes you to the top of a ridge that overlooks Boulder (and Denver on a clear day). While we do have neighbors, they are not close and there is a tremendous feeling of quiet, privacy and serenity while staying at our home.

My husband Scot and I are both attorneys and we have two teenage children, Nick and Amanda. Scot works at his own patent law practice in downtown Boulder while I work part-time from our home. I volunteer regularly in the Boulder community and am an active member of the Boulder Rotary Club and my church (First Presbyterian). We both love wine, travel, hiking, reading, movies and socializing with our friends and family. Our favorite places to travel are the wine countries of the world. We have lived in Boulder since 2004 and have loved every minute of our time here. We moved from Los Angeles, bought 20 acres in the foothills just outside the town, hired an architect and built our modern dream house. We are situated in a valley with amazing views and surrounded by trees, rock outcroppings and small wildlife (including a flock of turkeys). Our home is a peaceful and serene retreat.
