Guest Access

There is a microwave, Keurig, electric tea kettle and large refrigerator in the kitchenette. Sorry, no cooking on stove. In emergency you can use my washer/dryer.

Interaction with Guests

The Loft is a totally private studio with its own outdoor entrance. We stay in contact with you before you arrive and greet you at your door. We live in the main house which is connected with our own entry door into the Loft's downstairs foyer. Throughout your stay you have complete contact with me via your cellphone and I always put a note with your breakfast tray. We are always in our home when the Loft is occupied to see to your needs. Guests are assured a peaceful and quiet stay.

The Neighborhood

The Loft is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. This is a great place for an early morning walk or jog without having to worry about highway traffic. As a matter of fact you are probably going to meet a few of our resident deer around sunrise.

Getting around

Take advantage of our offer to pick you up from the train. We have local cab service if you want to go to dinner at the Newburgh Riverfront. If you aren't coming for the Artist's Weekend Special, you really need a car to get around.

  • From start to finish, our stay at Julia's beautiful Loft was nothing short of perfection. We traveled to New Windsor for a weekend getaway from Brooklyn in celebration of our anniversary and valentines day, and Julia single handedly made an already special weekend an unforgettable experience.
When we entered the beautiful spacious loft there were red roses, home baked cookies, chocolate covered strawberries and balloons waiting for us. Julia prepared incredible breakfast's for us each morning full of tasty home made goodies delivered right to our door, provided fresh bed linens every day and truly went about our stay as a perfect host who left no detail unnoticed while simultaneously giving us complete privacy. The Loft's amenities were truly luxurious, with a full Jacuzzi tub, electric fire place, huge closets, comfortable bed and hands down the best shower I have ever taken. The mountain view's and private neighborhood complete with resident deer family pushed the whole experience into fairy tale territory.
I would recommend Julia's loft to anyone and everyone! Her attention to detail and beautiful space are a home away from home that might just rival home itself. Not to mention that The Loft is 20 minutes from Beacon NY, where we spent our days at the Dia Beacon art museum, eating incredible meals at Cafe Armarcord and Brothers Trattoria and walking about the local craft brewery's, chocolate shops and vintage clothing stores. We can't wait to go back in the spring when we can take a day trip to Storm King Art Center which is only 5 minutes down the road!
Thank you Julia and to all others who book The Loft you are in for a real treat!!!
    With love,
    Melody and Jake

    Response from Julia:

Jake and Melody, Your review validates my commitment to making every ones' stay at The Loft a truly enjoyable and relaxing experience. I love that I can offer guests an escape from the city and a taste of the beautiful life we have here in the Hudson Valley. I look forward to seeing you both again. Perhaps this time you will hike Storm King Mountain trails and visit Storm King Art Center. Can't wait!

  • Julia was so conscientious with every single detail! From emailing & accommodating our dietary restrictions to offering up plenty of printed recommendations for hikes & dining locations. Not to mention her studio loft was EXACTLY as pictured - warm, contemporary, quaint, & most importantly private. One can tell she takes pride in her establishment & cares for every guest; not only had she provided homemade pastries (chocolate coconut macaroons, granola bars w/ dried fruit), she also had fresh bath salts & handmade soap laid beautifully by the jacuzzi's side. This was our first AirBnB experience & was very lucky to have chosen such a great one! Have been recommending "The Loft" to many friends & colleagues & do hope to visit again in the spring or fall.
