The Space

Breacan Cottage B&B is a beautiful rustic cottage with panoramic sea views overlooking Galway Bay in the West of Ireland. We are located just outside the picturesque fishing village of Kinvara, Co Galway. We are central to the Burren, Ailwee Caves, Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, Galway City, and Connemara.
Rooms are ensuite and we have Free Wireless Internet Access.
A delicious breakfast is included of either Full Irish, Vegetarian or Continental is served each morning.
We are approxamately 10 minutes drive from Kinvara village where there are many great restaurants and pubs with Live Traditional Music. We also provide a Laundry service for a small fee and there is free parking onsite. We are located on a remote peninsula so you will need a car to get here.

Our B&B is called Breacan Cottage. Our address is Parkmore, Doorus, Kinvara, Co Galway.
You drive through the village towards the Burren on the N67 for about 4 km and turn right at a sign called Knockgearra. You will see my B&B signs on route. We are located on the same road as Doorus Youth Hostel. Just drive to the end of that road and we are the last house on the left overlooking the sea.
We live on a remote peninsula and we have free parking outside our house.

  • We spent only one night by Geraldine and everything was great : the house, the three rooms we had, the breakfast and of course Geraldine and her husband who were really so nice with us 6 ! Thanks a million !

  • Charming cottage on the bay of Kinvara. This place is very quiet and is the perfect setting for a good night sleep. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simply outstanding. They also helped us find a great restaurant in the neighborhood and called someone to come there to change our flat tyre. It just couldn't have been better. We'll be back!

  • Breacan Cottage in Kinvara is very lovely and Geraldine and Noel were great hosts. The setting is incredibly idyllic and picturesque. Breacan Cottage is well marked with blue circular signs from the main road. The rooms are well appointed (including an adaptor to recharge electronic devices), the beds were comfortable, and the en suite bathrooms are new. Breakfast was very good, served hot, and eggs cooked to order. Our hosts recommended a wonder restaurant called LuAnne's, where we probably had the best seafood dinner our entire trip. We stayed two nights at Breacan Cottage and would definitely recommend this B&B.

  • The setting was every bit as beautiful as the picture. Our room was upstairs, so we had privacy and a view in two directions. Our bathroom was spacious and very clean.
Geraldine fixed a big breakfast one morning and a lighter breakfast with porridge and fruit the next morning, accommodating our desires.
She and her husband, Noel, were helpful in planning our day in the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. She also regaled us with some very funny stories.

  • This place is amazing, I can't recommend it enough! Absolutely beautiful location; right at the tip of the peninsula, at the very end of the road right on the water. The breakfast Geraldine made was absolutely delicious. My friend is vegetarian, and Geraldine was totally accomodating. We didn't want to leave!
If I ever make it back to Ireland, I'll be sure to stay here again!

  • Geraldine was lovely! Very sweet and accommodating to not only us but the other guests staying there. She specifically asked us what we did each day in order to have more recommendations for things to see for her future guests. Breakfast was great too. Highly recommend her!

  • Geraldine and Noel are the lovliest of hosts! The location by the water is beautiful and the room my niecw and I has was very roomy and well appointed. Her breakfasts were large and very tasty. We partixularly enjoyed her humour. Their establishment sets a rare high standard and the only regret we have is that we couldmnot stay longer.

  • We stayed for three nights at this lovely cottage. The room and bed have been very quiet and comfortable. The cottage is located directly on the bay and you have a beautiful view.

Geraldine and Noel have been wonderful hosts. They made everything so we could feel very comfortable and enjoy our stay. Geraldine's breakfast was wonderful and she took care of any special wishes we had so we could have a good start into the day.

Since the cottage is far from the main road you will need a car to get there.

Overall I would recommend staying with Geraldine and Noel, enjoy their hospitality and the beautiful landscape.

  • Geraldine and Noel are the perfect hosts. They made me feel very comfortable and taken care of during my 3 night stay. Geraldine's breakfasts were amazing and a good start to the day. Their bed and breakfast is incredibly comfortable. It is quite a ways off the path so a car is necessary but easy to find. My advice would be to stay to the right on that last road and watch for the signs. Had a wonderful time. Thank you!!

  • Noel and Geraldine are delightful! The cottage on the bay was a great place to begin our journey through Ireland. We took country walks, enjoyed the sunrises and even walked to the local pub for a pint and music! Geraldine and Noel made us feel so welcome and the breakfasts were to divine....if you have the opportunity to stay with these two for a couple nights, you will not be disappointed!

Hi Everyone, I studied Fine Art in Gmit (Galway Mayo Institute of Technology) and I have lived in Kinvara for 30 years. I am married to Noel who is a farmer. Our cottage is located on the seafront near the picturesque fishing village of Kinvara. We own a small farm and when my husband is not farming he is helping me with the Bed and Breakfast business. We have a very Arty style house which we love and hope you will also.
