Guest Access

Nice apartment elegantly furnished within walking distance from the center of Florence. You will feel at home in one of the most beautiful places in the world!
The house is not a furnished apartment for tourists but a real house very well equipped!

Interaction with Guests

I love to comunicate with my guests promptly, my mob phone will be on 24 hours per day and I like to use emails, apps and social networks in order to be always available to them!!

The Neighborhood

The neighborhood (Rifredi Statuto) is a residential area of Florence, close to the centre.
Getting on a bus, you can reach Duomo and all most important tourist attraction just after few stops (3 or 4).
In the area you can find shops, supermarkets, museums, churchs, all within walking distance.
The area is very quiet and you can go by walk in safety.
Train stations, bus stops and taxies are all in the area!

Getting around

To visit Florence is not necessary to arrive by car.
If you are traveling by plane you can land directly in Florence.
Pisa airport is also very convenient, just landed, you can take a comfortable train to Florence (one hour ride) and get off at the station of Florence-Rifredi and reach the apartment on foot, otherwise get off at the next stop (Florence-Santa Maria Novella, the main train station) and from there take bus 14 and get off after three stops.
The car is convenient if you want to visit the area around the city or do some trip in the rest of the region (Chianti, Siena and its beautiful province, Arezzo, etc. ..).
In any case, there is an efficient network of bus connections.
Personally I would recommend renting a car only for the days you decide to leave the town.
If possible, I will also be happy to accompany you in the most beautiful places known to me.
Do not hesitate to email me for any kind of doubt or curiosity, I'll be happy to answer as soon as possible.

Other Things to Note

FLORENCE, capital of the region of Tuscany, has a population of around half a million inhabitants, spreads on the banks of the Arno, between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian seas, almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula. It is a city which bustles with industry and craft, commerce and culture, art and science. Being on the main national railway lines, it is easily accessible from most important places both in Italy and abroad. The Florence "Vespucci" airport, where both national and international airlines stop, is located 5 Km. from the city centre. The main motorway, A1, connects Florence with Bologna and Milano in the North and Rome and Naples in the South. The motorway A11 to the sea joins it to Prato, Pistoia, Montecatini, Lucca, Pisa and all the resorts on the Tyrrhenian sea. There is also motorway which connects Florence to Siena. The climate is temperate but rather variable, with breezy winters and hot summers.

The Chianti area, between Florence and Siena, is one of the most beautiful countrysides in Italy and a famous wine production area.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Mauro's apartment is a little bit out of town; however, the buses run quite regularly in both directions and the stops are really close to the apartment, so it is not an issue. The apartment is nice and adequate as a resting point for your Tuscan adventures. The shower was too small for my husband but this is just a very minor point. Mauro was great, easy to talk to and really helpful.

    Response from Mauro:

Many thanks! I always try to offer as my best.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Mauro's place. The bed in the master bedroom is so comfortable, it takes us a lot of effort to wakes up ;)
The room is spacious and warm too. Mauro was really helpful with a lot of tips and direction eventhough we didn't manage to meet him personally.

  • Staying in Mauro's apartment was pleasant. The apartment is big, confortable, and high-celinged. It is close to several shops and bars, but also near buses for the city center. I stayed together with a friend of mine for workng reason. Unfortunately we didn't meet Mauro, but a friend of him welcomed us, and they were both kind and friendly.
