About This Listing
Studio apartment with bathroom and full kitchen in a quiet and safe neighborhood on the central coast. Wonderful hiking and ocean views just a short walk away. Morro Bay Rock and Estuary, Montana De Oro State Park and beaches a leisurely 5-10 minute drive. Enjoy a day driving up the coast seeing the elephant seals and the historic Hearst Castle in beautiful San Simeon.
Your accommodations are a detached studio from the main house on a beautiful acre set away from the street with your own private parking. I want to emphasize that the living areas are quite small and compact so someone with a larger stature is not disappointed with the accommodations, but besides that, the studio should have everything you need. It's very clean, light and open. The neighborhood is extremely quiet and safe and your studio will be a very private getaway.
We are a 15-20 minute drive to San Luis Obispo; a very fun college town with plenty of night life and an adorable downtown shopping area. We have some very nice wineries in the area and you can spend the afternoon tasting if you'd like. My place is off the beaten path, so although there is a bus stop about a mile away, you will most likely need your vehicle to get to most places conveniently. :)
We have one overly friendly dog named Kylee that tends to get excited around strangers. She will be hanging out in a different area of the yard and in my home during your stay and should not interrupt your visit and "R & R".
To make sure I am respectful of all future guests, I have a very strict policy about smoking inside the studio. Thank you ahead time for your consideration and for being respectful of this request. The neighborhood is very quiet so no loud parties or guests. I would really like to see a profile picture, a few words about yourself and the purpose of your trip before I can accept a booking, Thank you very much for understanding and I look forward to meeting you!
Guest will have access to the cottage area and parking described in the Airbnb listing.
Interaction with Guests
My only interaction with guests is a brief hello during your stay just to introduce myself. Otherwise, unless there is a problem, I will give you your complete privacy as I am a private person myself. For those of you only staying briefly, it is possible that I may not see you at all being that we may be on different schedules. :)
There is a bus stop about a mile away -- but public transportation is minimal. In our little town, it is best to have a vehicle to get around.
Just a reminder, I do have a 2 person maximum, this includes children and infants. I'm not kidding when I say "cozy cottage". Thanks! :)
This is my family home so please be respectful of my family's privacy. I am available by cell phone to answer any questions and to make sure your stay is perfect. If you need anything, just give me a call and I will do everything I can to accommodate you. The studio has most items (similar to a hotel stay). I do provide basic kitchen items, it's not gourmet, but should do the trick (Coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper are also there). I have a few other items (toiletries, dish soap, etc.), but not a lot. I have found that everyone has their own favorites so it's hard to know what to provide. Basically what's there you're welcome to, but may not be enough for a stay of more than a few days.
Again, no smoking, no pets and no laundry facilities - there is a laundromat about a mile a way. Please try to keep reasonably quiet out of respect for my wonderful neighbors. Please have a safe drive to the central coast and thanks again for booking with me!
Lovely little studio with all of the listed amenities and more. This place couldn't have been more pleasant.
Kymm's place was great stay for one night in Los Osos - the studio is very clean, cozy and quiet. Kymm was super easy to communicate with and even went out of her way to let us into the studio on a super busy mother's day. I would recommend a stay here anytime, thanks Kymm!
We had a wonderful short visit (2 nights) in Los Osos. The cottage is small, but beautifully appointed. We were so glad to have a full kitchen to make breakfast and lunch and not have to eat out. The location is peaceful and safe, and convenient to great dining in Morro Bay.
If you are a hiker, you must visit Montana de Oro State Park and hike the Valencia Trail. The view at the top is amazing, and you can add on a loop at the bottom along the bluff overlooking the ocean.
If we have the chance to return, we will certainly rebook!

We spent two nights with Kymm. We were so pleasantly surprised with our accomodations. Kymm says her place is tiny, but its big on comfort and cleanliness! We had everything we needed. I forgot my hairdryer back home, but was able to use one that was provided! The trail mix Kymm provided came in handy on our bike ride, and the cookies were tucked into my purse for wine tasting.
We will definitely look Kymm up again...this is a keeper!

Kymm was an excellent host! Although we didn't have the chance to meet her, she "welcomed" us into the cottage with treats, restaurant suggestions, and an inviting atmosphere. We only stayed one night as we passed through to Arizona but it could not have been a better place for the two of us. We did not feel cramped at all! I would highly recommend this place to anyone and can't wait to come back.
We had an amazing stay at Kymm's cottage. So much so that we later had regrets not booking two nights there. Kymm was easy to communicate with through the entire booking and checking-in process. She greeted us when we arrived and was super helpful in telling us where to go for dinner in the area.
Her cottage was also amazing. Super modern and clean and she even left us delicious treats (A+ cookies in my books) and lovely toiletries. I highly recommend staying at Kymm's if you are in the area. It was absolutely lovely!
About the Host, Kymm
I am currently living in Los Osos, California which is located on the central coast. I have lived there for 20 years but I am previously from San Diego. I work for a financial planning firm and I spend a lot of time with my children who are young adults now. When I am not hanging out with them I like to read, garden and travel to new places every chance I get. I really enjoy meeting new people and is why I enjoy the airbnb experience. That's pretty much all I'm up to right now. Oh, also, I'm a non-smoker, quiet but friendly, and I love a nice glass of wine with friends now and again! Cheers! :)
