  • My experience with my host was wonderful. She was warm, friendly, and very helpful - recommending restaurants, etc. The listing was just what I expected - a warm and cozy cottage and very clean. The neighborhood - on a private road - was quiet - and only one block from a public beach. I couldn't have been happier with everything.

  • My boyfriend and I had a lovely time staying in Maureen's cottage. The view is amazing and its so close to amazing beaches, Shelter Island, wineries, and farmers markets! We had a blast exploring the area and then coming back and relaxing in this cozy cottage. We hope we can return when it warms up!

  • Perfect lovely weekend. Beautiful place that we'll have to visit again in the summer. Maureen was very helpful, attentive and responsive. Loved her suggestions for places.

  • We loved our stay at Maureens cottage. It's located on a very quiet street in full view of a beautiful lake. A wonderful location for a quiet weekend away.
We took the jitney out there so we made full use of the bikes Maureen provided for us. We made it to Southold, Greenport and Shelter Island using only pedal power!
The cottage is perfect for two with a kitchen that is small but well equipped for two people. We cooked there more than we ate out!
I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Maureen but her interactions through emails were very prompt and friendly.
We stayed for four nights and didn't have a single issue.
The cottage is warm and cozy and perfect for two.
    Highly recommended.

  • Cute little cottage. Amazing views in the back yard. And on top of it all fast responses from Maureen: a wonderful resourceful lady with information about the great wineries, delicious restaurants, grocery stores late at night and just about anything you need.

  • We had a lovely stay at Maureen's cottage. The setting is absolutely beautiful; a really peaceful place with stunning views over the pond. The cottage itself is well presented with good facilities and good heating. If we ever come to this part of the world again, we would love to stay here!

  • Maureen's cottage is in a great North Fork location on a lovely street The cottage itself is perfect for couple or individual who wants to explore the area as well as relax 'at home'. The property is on the water and if it were summer, we would have gone kayaking or swimming, and maybe done some outdoor grilling. Maureen provides two great bicycles, which we rode one day out to Greenport, and right onto the ferry to Shelter Island- spent the day cycling/exploring the island.
We had the pleasure of meeting Maureen and Al, as well as some of her other neighbors. Great hosts, great folks all around.

  • The cottage is adorable! Clean and comfortable, perfect for a couple. The outdoor space is very serene and offers a wonderful view of the lake. Response time was great. Checking in and out a breeze, Maureen was very accommodating. I hope to visit again soon!

  • This is a truly idyllic location which has to be seen to be believed. The cottage is beautifully appointed & tended with love & care by the wonderful owners, Maureen & Alan. Stunning waterfront setting with the ocean a 2 minute walk away surrounded by pretty towns, fabulous vineyards & local farm produce on every corner. A week was not enough! You could do no better for a Long Island retreat & the owners will take such good care of you from your first enquiry until the moment you leave. An inspirational place to start writing my book - I'll be back...!!

Professional couple who loves the North Fork and has lots of knowledge to share. have two brown dogs, Dylan and Thomas. One is 13.5 and the other is 3. Have done a lot of traveling and love to return to our home away from home in the North Fork. It's a special microclimate with light and sun year round. We are great hosts because we care about people. We provide recommendations and yet don't interfere unless asked. We have now been hosting for a few months and met the most wonderful people, all of whom we hope will return. Hope you will join that group.
