Dave was great! He gave us lots of information and tips just when we arrived. The room was very cosy and it is just in the centre of Temple Bar. There are a lot of amenities and nice restaurants and cafes around the flat. We tried some of Dave´s recommendations and were amazing. Definitely a good choice if you are visiting Dublin.
A really nice place to explore the city. It is in a quiet street in the heart of temple bar! And for breakfast we highly recommend Queen's tarts, just underneath the complex.
Dave was a very nice host. We haven't seen him, only on arrival. Communication went very good. The room in the apartment was even bigger than we thought by the photo's. The bed was good. The only thing is that it could have been a little bit more clean than it was now.
We would recommend this stay!

Our stay at Dave's was great! Upon booking our stay, Dave sent a comprehensive guide with exact directions to his place, recommendations for food and drink, and attractions to visit. He sat down with us when we arrived and marked all of the "insider" places to visit... we didn't have time to visit them all in the short 2 days we were definitely were able to see the best attractions/sites. The room was very nice -- quaint and clean. We had our own bathroom with towels/toilet paper/shampoo/conditioner provided. Dave definitely pays attention to the little things -- he provided various chargers, a hairdryer, and even allowed us to change heat settings if we were cold at night. We didn't take advantage of the kitchen, but Dave made sure we knew our way around if we did decide to cook. The location of the flat was also great ... within walking distance of all of the top attractions in Dublin and a stones throw from Christchurch. Great stay!
Dave was a great host, so helpful, really great with communication, flexible and chilled out. His place is lovely too, very creative space, very clean and although located right near the party area of Temple Bar, the apartment is located on a quite street so you got your peace and quiet. Very safe and well-lit too. We stayed here for one weekend and it was the best location since everything you wanted was in walking distance, and it was right near the Airlink pickup station. Although we didn't use it there was a very well equipped kitchen too for longer stays. Thanks Dave for being a lovely host.
Dave's home was very centrally located, close to the Temple Bar area but also within walking distance of many beautiful churches and historic sites. We were only in Dublin for a very short time, but his home was a pleasant 'landing pad' during our stay...we basically only were there to sleep and get ready. The room was fairly small but doable for two adults, and the bathroom had a large shower...no complaints! Dave gave us a great rundown of the city the night we arrived and we were able to do and see a lot in a short time with his suggestions!
Dave was very good with communication. Location was great. It is handy to have a lift when you have heavy luggage. We didn't meet Dave however Nora who let us in was very helpful- and flexible with arrival, we arrived at midnight. The place needs a good clean. The shower head is a annoying as it is positioned on a bad angle and means water sprays out of the shower and (if you have long hair) it is difficult to wash. However, these things easily be fixed. It was great base as we were out a lot exploring. Dave gave us some good ideas for local eat and places to see. He also generously left us some Guinness chocolate to try which was yum.
Dave's place was very convenient and so comfortable for me and my husband. We didn't get to meet him but his friend was so gracious and helpful. Though right in Temple Bar, location was very quiet.
The weather was quite wintry while we were there so we didn't explore quite as much as we'd planned, so we were grateful for the good WiFi, TV and kitchen access for those hours we spent indoors. He provides great instructions for using appliances (Yea! Washer and dryer!!) and utilities. The TV sometimes was difficult to work, and the DVD player didn't appear to be connected but having cable TV was nice. Enjoyed his photos and all the reading material.
Airlink bus from airport dropped us off right in front of the Arlington Hotel (which held our luggage for a few hours before we met up with his friend) around the corner from his home; picked up a cab RIGHT in front of his place early one morning for trip to Dublin port to catch the ferry to Wales.
The only problem was some initial confusion about getting the key since David wouldn't be available to meet us, but once that was solved, smooth sailing.
Dave's place is all about its (email hidden)ere is no better place to stay at if you are after shopping and Temple Bar pubs. The flat was clean and we were given everything we could possibly need - Wi-Fi password, hair dryer, convector heater, directions, towels and a friendly smile.
Mind you, this is not a 5 * or even a 4* accommodation, if that's what you expect, but its good enough and feels really like home, as compared to the similarly priced hotels nearby which will have a squeaky bed and a claustrophobic room for ya.
Leuk appartement / nice appartment & nice host.
