  • Great location and host! Had a wonderful time!!

  • Dave is a very welcoming, friendly, and helpful host. He was always available prior to and during our stay, though we had no issues to contact him about! The flat couldn't be in a better location. It is mere minutes to amazing restaurants, Trinity College, and great shopping. The fact that the flat was set back from the main street meant that you were right in the amazing area of Temple Bar, but weren't kept awake by any outside noises. The room was exactly as pictured, and the flat had a clean kitchen with any appliances you might need to cook your meals. We highly recommend booking with Dave if you are looking for a safe and comfortable place to call 'home' while in the heart of Dublin. Thanks again Dave! We will definitely be back!

  • We had a nice stay at Daves Apartment. He is a great host and told us a lot about the city when we arrived. The location is almost in the city centre, so you don't need a bus or train to get there. Overall it's was a greate time in Irland and I can highly recommend Dave and his Apartment.

  • Staying at Dave's apartment was perfect! We had no problems during our stay there. The bed is a bit small for two people but perfect for just a place to sleep. The kitchen was fully equipped although we didn't use it. Although we only saw Dave once, he was very helpful with our travels in Dublin. Perfect location in Dublin. In the middle of everything which is perfect for pit stops.

  • Dave is an excellent host! He met us as soon as we got in and made us feel right at home. In fact what I liked best about the apartment was that it felt like home. He even surprised us with cookies (a wonderful treat after three flights) and a water jug in our room. Dave gave us a map and provided recommendations about what to visit, eat, etc. His welcome email is also extremely informative and helpful. The apartment is centrally located in the temple bar region, which was extremely convenient as we were trying to maximize our time. The Dublin castle is across the street. The Christ church Cathedral and Saint Patrick's are just a short walk (less than 5 minutes) from the apartment. Right downstairs is a delicious place called the queen of tarts, it does not disappoint. We honestly loved our time in Ireland. Our only regret was not staying longer.

  • We were greeted by Dave after landing at Dublin airport and he couldn't have been a more gracious host. His place is very clean, modern, and located right at the center of everything! He provided us with a city map and recommended places to see. He was also very easy to contact and an all around cool guy! I would definitely recommend that anyone looking to stay in Dublin stay with Dave.

  • The stay at Dave´s apartment was absolutely great! He is a very friendly host. The house is equipped with all the amenities. The bathroom is private. The bed is comfortable. The location is great and you will love staying there. The only thing I wished was that I had some more time to catch up with him. All the photographies he has spread in the apartment help provide a good atmosphere. He seemed a very interesting person and I will surely book again when I return to Dublin.

  • The area is lovely, the apartment is easy to find, and it was a very relaxed experience for me all around. The host is very kind and willing to give advice and directions; he's virtually a city guide! The rooms are also very neat and cozy. I felt very at home here, and wish that I could have stayed longer.

  • Dave was great! He gave us lots of information and tips just when we arrived. The room was very cosy and it is just in the centre of Temple Bar. There are a lot of amenities and nice restaurants and cafes around the flat. We tried some of Dave´s recommendations and were amazing. Definitely a good choice if you are visiting Dublin.

  • A really nice place to explore the city. It is in a quiet street in the heart of temple bar! And for breakfast we highly recommend Queen's tarts, just underneath the complex.
Dave was a very nice host. We haven't seen him, only on arrival. Communication went very good. The room in the apartment was even bigger than we thought by the photo's. The bed was good. The only thing is that it could have been a little bit more clean than it was now.
    We would recommend this stay!

I'm from Dublin, Ireland but have spent quite a bit of time in Kansas, USA and have travelled extensively since I was a teenager. As an experienced traveller I know what it is that is most precious to those who find themselves in foreign cultures; a clean and warm bed, a welcoming host, some insights into where the locals go to eat and drink. I have taken all these thoughts and combined them into an experience that I would love to have had in my own travels. I am a founder member of the Dublin Host Ambassador Group for Airbnb. Our group advises them of improvements we feel will enhance the whole Airbnb experience and we also direct new hosts on the road to creating positive memorable guest interactions. While I'm always pleased to meet people from any corner of the world, I have to admit that I have an immense fondness for Americans, this comes out of great experience I had living there when I was younger and for the huge amount of support and encouragement I received from some many Americans over so many years. I've not yet an American that I couldn't like! I have also made many visits to Germany, Austria and Switzerland and enjoy interacting with guests from that neck of the woods. Please bear in mind though, that my German speaking skills extend to being able to order a beer and a donut :-) I'm a photographer who runs his own photography school which allows me to travel around Ireland, Europe and the USA to shoot scenes that I like, many of these are on the walls of the apartment. If you're also a keen photographer then I look forward to talking cameras, techniques and creativity with you. If you're not then I still look forward to hearing your story!
