Spacious-small house in the centre of town, close to the Shandon Bell of Cork (you can see it through the ceiling windows!) and very bright. Modern-looking style but preserving the façade of the old neighbourhood. Single bedroom available, with in-wall wardrobes, in a house of two bedrooms (the second one occupied by myself). American kitchen fully equipped: vitro ceramic, oven, microwave, kettle (essential in Ireland), etc., with new and spacious american bar for a sunny breakfast. Dinner table for 4. Washing machine included, hair dryer. Central heating system.
In the heart of one of the old neighbourhoods, the interior of the apartment/house is a bright space, newly done and very comfortable.
Safe neighbourhood with some landmarks of the old times: butter museum, the Firkin Crane (old market), and the Shandon Bell!
Convenient shop open until late hours just around the corner, and local Irish pubs to get to know what a real pint taste like in Cork.
The town is small enough to walk it comfortably by foot, and the apartment is conveniently located in the very centre of the city, close to North Main Street, one of the main arteries of Cork.
This apartment blends a combination of rustic original stone walls with modern fittings and furniture. I bet you it will be one of the brightest places to live in Cork, with all the ceiling windows and big garden at the rear.
I was so lucky to stay with Patrizia and her adorable pets. The location for me was perfect and Thedo, her young Border Collie, made my day and stay special. Thank you for sharing, Patrizia!
I didn't stay with Patricia for very long but she was very respectful, friendly, and helpful. We had breakfast together in the morning and she was great to talk to. There was a fantastic view from the bedroom window as well. I would definitely recommend staying with her.
My stay in Patricia's house has been very good. The place is so close to the center and at the same time very calm and relaxed to sleep well. Her pets are very lovely and I enjoyed them. It was funny because it is a bilingual house, I was able to speak Spanish with the pets and English with Patricia. Everything was well so I recommend to tourist who wants to visit Cork. Patricia help you giving information, etc.
I really enjoyed my stay in Cork. Patricia is a welcoming and friendly host. The house has everything that I needed and it is a only a short walk to the city centre. Great coffee on offer too. Stay here if you're in Cork.
Why are there not 10 stars to give? I'd give Patricia and her home 1000 stars any day. Not only is her home adorable and perfectly located, but Patricia herself is amazing. I had a great time chatting with her, and she was a great help in showing & telling me where to go around town. The home is equipped with everything you need for a great visit, is primely located with a view of the Shandon Tower and a short walk through a beautiful neighborhood down to the main center of town. There's even a very well mannered and trained cat around to welcome you as a houseguest. All in all, a wonderful stay with Patricia.
I had such a lovely time at Patricia's. She was a fantastic host and her lovely house is situated in the heart of an incredibly historical and heritage neighborhood! I Slept really well at her house and it is so close to everything including the city center. I can only but recommend a stay at her place. I even managed to find parking over the weekend nearby. The streets surrounding her house are very narrow but if you look you will manage to find a place.
Patricia was incredibly accommodating.. The space is beautiful, and right behind both the Shandon bell church and a BUTTER museum!! It is in a very rustic part of town, and only a brief walk down the hill into the centre. Amazing experience, super nice host. ;)
Our stay at Patricia's has been really great. The location is really perfect as a starting point for a walk from the old city. The house was really comfortable. I really recommend Patricia's place for a stay in Cork !
My friend and I decided to stay at Patricia's for three days over Christmas and we had a really amazing time. Her house was very cute, clean, and comfortable, and we each had our own bedroom (and honestly had the best sleep we'd had through all of our traveling!). We thought the location was excellent as well -- we were just a nice short walk to all of the main shops, and the immediate surroundings (the Shandon Bell, a beautiful church, and adorable houses) really made it a wonderful place to stay. We fell in love with Cork and we would love to return and stay in Patricia's house again!
