The neighbourhood has a lot of malls for snacks, a seven eleven open till about 1 or 2 oclock , a pita doner kebab turkish guy and a italian restaurant take away all at about 5eur for a big meal or pizza; City is 15 minutes walk
There is bus and trainstop at walking distance 100 metres, but you can easily walk to the centre in about 15 minutes (to the market square) most touristic attractions are all very close together the city of bruges is not that big :)
Well, that was cold and smelly, but cheap (for Brugge) the location is fine, it's really 15 minutes to the Markt, so that was good enough. But about the quality of living conditions - may be you have nothing to do with this smell, may be it's just because of the age of the building, but please, do something with heating. That's really cold and you always you think "how to get a shower but do not be frozen to death"
Great place to stay! Direct, ten minute walk to the city center and it's very difficult to get lost. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood, though, so rambunctious teenagers (like our group of travelers) should take mind to it and respect the area.
The place is good, you get what you pay, although there is no heat, so beware. We arrived earlier than 2pm and the owner did not give us the wifi password til the check in time at 2 pm. That is an inconvenient when you just need internet for communication purposes in a different country.
Very well communicated and close to the town. Great city to visit anytime, we loved it.
Yannick was nice, helpful and friendly but a bit over enthusiastic
The place about a 20 min walk to town, which was a bit annoying. We were only there for one night so it wasn't a big issue, but for any more nights it would have been.
The room was quite cold as there was no heating and we were there in winter. The single bed wasn't very comfortable as it was made out of leather. Also it was a bit loud at night, though it didn't really bother us.
The wifi was good.
Location is 25 mins walking to city center. The room is quite cold, and very smelly (mold). Hosts are nice, but quite loud.
friendly host; flexible hours; free wi-fi; close to old town; good bus & train connection; very cheap (as for Bruges, hotels in Bruges are extremely expensive).
no heating (in Oct we had 15Cdeg indoor); old cover (not matching the blanket); quite smelly (my best guess is it was an odor of mold, since the place has no heating) - some clothes hold the smell after a wash :/
good location and attractive price; good for students - be ware if you concern about lower temperature (not in summer of course) and fungus (I may be wrong but if you have an allergy, think through and avoid a surprise.
Yannick Huys is nice. If the bedding is cleaner, the room will be much better.
