We have been London last week stay 3 night at Peter's.
Peter is very nice guy and mito also.peter and mitko look after us like family home is very nice and clean.peter give us very useful tips to buy travel tickets and book the London attraction.for family or individual perfect place to book.if we do go again we would love to go Peter house.
Everything as promised! It was my second time staying at this location - a different room but the same top shelf experience. Just like the first room I'd stayed in, this room was also spacious, tastefully decorated, quiet and spotlessly clean. It also had a charming view of a small back garden. Rest of the house is up to same high standard (clean, tasteful hallway and landing). There's an accessible, large full bathroom upstairs with a smaller shower/loo combo on the ground. Apparently there's a kitchen where you can make tea/coffee but I didn't explore (I would assume it would be up to the same high standard). As promised in the description, location is close to the tube, bars, restaurants, etc. The host was quick in responding to my reservation request and organizing key pick up etc.
Peter is charming, gracious and exceptionally personable. He is a wonderful host, and all of the guests in residence clearly enjoyed their stay. The location is extremely convenient to major public transportation hubs and the garden makes for a lovely private retreat.
This was another very generous experience with an attentive host, who is flexible and will furnish advice or call for a car just as happily as he will give you space to enjoy and explore Central London and the environs on your own .
Peter utilizes a laundry and cleaning service; the rooms are graciously and authentically appointed. Very cozy, and recommend as an ideal location if you plan to be out and about in London!
Very poor experience overall. Were told arrive anytime so we arrived at 1.05pm to find someone was only at the property until 1.00pm. I called Peter the host who said he had needed to go out and wouldn't be home until 6pm so we would have to leave our bags in a local pub. This really bothered us as we had valuables in our bags and didn't know these people from Adam ! It was appalling that after telling us to arrive anytime we couldn't now get into our accommodation. He said he has called but our profile number is wrong. This must have been a lie as have no number on profile. We wanted to shower, change and rest but couldn't. We arranged to meet him at 8.30pm - went to the pub to pick up the luggage and luckily he was in there as he had 'forgotten' the time. I was taken the property and shown around. We were in the room with the picture of the bed with pink cushions. In reality it is much plainer and feels rather grubby. It has no TV or wardrobe (there was a small cupboard that didn't open). The shower-room is again, rather grubby (actually dirty in areas) and doesn't feel a pleasant place to use to get clean and hygienic. Downstairs is the dining room which is a pleasant room (with many empty boxes stacked against one wall) and the kitchen. The kitchen is not clean (we took some photographs) - the back area of the kitchen has a large table covered in personal correspondence so I was uncomfortable moving anything. Under the table are many bottles of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink. The area looks, messy and unkempt. In terms of the kitchen area used to cook, the rubbish bins were over flowing and all the rims had dried sauces from garbage on them. The bins were very dirty. There was a dishwasher for crockery etc. but for all 2 days we were there the sink was full of dirty crockery, cutlery and cooking implements. There was a dirty cooker which we didn't use along with a toaster, microwave and fridge freezer. The freezer had an ice machine and this was great. While he was showing me the kitchen Peter remembered that he had forgotten to buy bread & milk, so we couldn't have white tea and coffee until the morning. The next morning we got up and there was still no bread or milk - no toast or tea for us !. The evening of our second night the sockets in our room stopped working and we had to call Peter to get this remedied. He did sort this problem. Thank you. In the middle of the night I got up and went to the kitchen for a drink. I was literally sent into a proper panic and fright when I encountered Peter the host asleep under his kitchen table. This was an awful frightening experience.
Remarkable, but to be called a liar by you Mark/Joe, is remarkable. I refer to the below:-
Thanks for your message.
My partner (Mark Flint) and I will be staying with you. Do we take this now as the booking being confirmed?
We’re coming down to pub & club and will obviously be late in and out. Is this OK ? We want to make sure we respect your needs and home.
I’ve attached pics of us so you can see who will be staying.
My contact number is (phone number hidden).
On the Saturday we should arrive around 1.30pm and on the Monday leave around 10.30am.
Thanks a lot. We look forward to meeting you.
Given you ate pizzas in the room, filled the bins with bits of uneaten pizza etc even though the rules state no food in the bedrooms. You left rubbish all around the house, soaked the shower room and really were not terribly genial. You were sent messages both on airbnb and by text to advise that I had to go out. Deal with it. I also arranged that my local pub, take your things in and lock them in the office securely for you. You were also allowed to change there. How very kind of them! If you had asked why the kitchn and my private area, repeat my private area were you would have found out that the fridge freezer had moved and been replumbed. Therefore, chaos. With regards to the kitchen being untidy and unclean, you only got out of bed after everyone else had had their breakfast after 12pm, so I am not quite sure what you expected! You are not permitted to use the cooker , and you were told as muc, again read the house rules. Bins were dirty and full because guests, like you buy lots of things that they stuff in the bins. Did you offer to helpo by emptying them out? No! You plugged some appliance into the electrics that tripped the fuses. Dont blame anyone or anything else.
Infact I could go on, however I suggest in future you avoid homestays and book a hote!!!
Sorry, I didn’t write a feedback earlier; we have I just returned to England.
Thank you so much for our pleasant stay at your house in July, 4-6th. It is a great location, just 20 mins relaxing walk by the Thames from Vauxhall Tube to London Eye, 5min from the bus or Underground. The room was a little small for three of us, but our booking had been made at the last minute and we were lucky to have that; the beds were comfortable and the facilities clean. Every morning we had breakfast. Peter is a good host, he explained to us the routes of transport, shop locations and places to eat. I would happily stay at Peter’s house again on my next visit to London. Elena, Irina & Katya
This was a nice and uncomplicated stay in a nice and clean room at Peter´s place. Everything went well, the contact to Peter, getting into the room and having two good nights sleep in the summer of London. It is about a 20 min walk to Big Ben. Quite central. Recommended.
