Our wi-fi is available from 6am to 10 pm we turn the router off when we sleep. Parking at your door in our private driveway.. Parking at your door in our private driveway.Hawaii is a tropical territory... Maui is a tropical island. Hence, any folks very squeamish about a few mosquito's or ants or other such critters, may want to rethink Hawaii OR stay in a luxury resort hotel or condo. Locals have adapted and our guests will need to be relaxed about the occasional notice. We are on it.

Our neighborhood is rural. There are acres of wide open spaces around us. Green and peaceful -everyone loves it here! Not what’s expected of a resort destination like Maui. Just down the street is Haiku town where you’ll find restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as work-out weight training and yoga centers. The cycle shop in Haiku town offers rentals should you wish to see Maui from that perspective. You can even cycle down the volcano.

Our home is centrally located in close proximity to beaches and the near by towns of Paia, Makawao, Haiku and not so far from Pukalani. The airport is 15 minutes away - (4 traffic lights). Yoga and massage are available in the neighborhood. You will love the experience of living this close to nature and shopping at our local farmers markets for fresh, locally grown organic fruits, vegetables, hand crafts and much more.

We love our island and we’re happy to share all of our favorite spots with you - often only locals know about. We are sure you will love Up Country Maui as well. We stay in a constant mind set of gratitude and celebrate all the gifts this island has to offer. We practice Aloha and give it freely. If you would like to experience an authentic visit to Maui, feel free to contact us. Many blessings, Gary and Marianne Callari

We would like to remind our guests our home is located on the opposite side of the road when you see the mailbox with the house # 2719 plenty of parking once you pull in the driveway. All the mailboxes on our street are on the same side of the road it does not indicate the location of the house.

Hale Kokomo Mountain View Room

Garden View Cottage $168 close to Hana & Haleakalā

Living on an island in the middle of the pacific presents a freedom and openness that we don't often experience on the mainland. Doors and windows are open fresh air is abundant and we don't feel the need to be closed up inside. We enjoy bringing the outdoors in! Because we have the rock wall surrounding our property some of our windows are happily exposed! The plant life outside the windows also act as a covering in a more natural way. When your door is closed we respect your privacy and have no intention of entering the room without knocking or calling your name.I noticed this as one of the concerns in a guest review so I thought I would address it. permit # BBPH (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

Gary & Marianne went above & beyond their duties for hosting us! What an inspirational couple! We truly enjoyed getting to know them, and their home was so inviting and comfortable. Communication was easy & reliable, and the location was perfect!...close to the airport in Kahului, the quaint town of Paia with lots of restaurants & shops, and a good spot for going to explore on the Road to Hana, as well as visiting Haleakala.

Wonderful place to stay. The house is very beautiful! If you are driving the road to Hana this is a great place to stay for the beginning drive. My wife and I got to see lots of sea turtles at Ho'okipa Beach Park!

Gary & Marrianne's place was absolutely perfect. Nestled in up country Maui yet still close (20 mins) to beaches, shops, airport and restaurants, it was exactly what we were looking for. So peaceful and serene--and green!!! The beds were very comfortable and made for the best sleep after long days of adventure. I say "beds" because we ended up booking two ice and stayed in both of the rooms in the main house. The entire home has an old world charm, that's for sure. And really positive energy throughout. We were blessed to find this place and will definitely be back next time around : )

We are Gary & Marianne Callari -
We offer for rent private rooms in Our 1929 Farm house on Maui, Hawaii and (2) Casita Studios in the Red Rocks of Sedona, Arizona. We love nature, home and family. Our fun and together past time is making great dinners at home. We grow our own food and eat and live a very healthy plant based diet. We go to bed fairly early and we get up early. We have healthy habits and healthy relationships with everyone we come in contact with. An open mind and a positive attitude we believe have been our tools in getting the home and lifestyle we create. We try not to have to many rules and flow with what life presents us. Sometimes we are really good at it! We believe energy follows thought, so if you think you can you can! We love to travel and enjoy meeting people from all over the world. Our travels have brought us to Spain, Italy, Mexico, Thailand and the Caribbean. We use travel guides about food to experience the flavors of live! We have two grown adults that we are very proud of, we honor who they are and the choices they have made and look forward to many more exciting adventures with them. 5 things we can't live without: Great weather, great food a higher consciousness, good organic chocolate and of course an active healthy body! We subscribe to the 4 agreements: Be Impeccable with your word. Don't take anything personally. Don't make assumptions. Always do your best. We wish you Happy Travels and Aloha! Gary and Marianne
