Chris was very responsive and provide detailed information about the house and local environs. The house is a great ski lodge nestled in beautiful woods in a quiet non touristy neighborhood. We loved it!
Stunning spot and wonderfully unique house. It was comfortable, great location, and all house instructions were very clear. The host was communicative and clear. He can hardly be blamed for the lack of snow - but we had a wonderful time regardless! Thanks for the great stay.
We spend my birthday weekend up here with a bunch of friends (13 people) and we all fit very comfortably in the house. Chris was wonderful answering all my questions very quickly.
The amount of space in the house is great for large groups, not to mention the outdoor deck with a fireplace and hot tub, and the basement with foosball, DDR and a pool table. There is something for everyone to do here and enough beds for everyone to be comfortable.
We ended up boarding at Kirkwood, which is a bit of a drive on its own and the drive seemed pretty quick. Some of the group who didn't go to the mountain went for a quick drive to the beach and spend the afternoon there. The convenience of this house with all it had to offer in the house, plus proximity to state line, ski resorts, grocery stores, etc. made staying here all the better. We will definitely be back!
We spent President's Weekend in Tahoe to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. The cabin is comfortable and spacious especially for the number of people and pets we had with us. The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood convenient to shopping and a short drive to Heavenly. The kitchen is well-equipped and large enough for several people working without feeling cramped. Large, open countertops provided more than enough space for cooking and cleaning. The large dining table seats up to eight and it was nice to comfortably gather together for our meals. All the beds and bathrooms are large and comfortable, and amply supplied with sheets and towels. Although it was an unseasonably warm weekend, the heater worked quickly to take off the early morning chill. Several people in our group enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a full day of skiing. For those of us who don't ski we enjoyed relaxing in the cabin reading, cooking, or watching a movie online (great, great Wi-Fi). The late morning sun really brightens up the common space. The open space behind the house was a great place to walk the dogs, and several times we took the dogs on hikes further up the hill. Chris is a gracious host who patiently answered all questions prior to our arrival. I would recommend staying at this cabin and would consider going again in the future, hopefully with more snow.
We had an awesome girls' weekend at Christopher's cabin. We loved the retro feel with modern elements! We were there during a rain storm but we didn't mind at all because this cabin had SO many entertainment amenities that we didn't want to leave! A great cabin that we'd love to visit again. The beds are really comfortable and everyone was obsessed with the master bathroom's shower head. We also really appreciated how prompt Christopher was in replying to my messages. I think every time I sent him a note I heard from him within 15 minutes. Amazing experience!
