About this listing
Located in the vibrant Bernal Heights neighborhood I’m offering a double bedroom with private bathroom on its own floor in a turn of the last century house. Use of the shared kitchen and adjoining dining area is welcome. The private bathroom is new with a tub and shower.
The house is on a quite street just steps away from the amenities of Cortland Avenue.
Cortland Ave. is a tree lined street has everything one might need . There are excellent restaurants, gourmet bakeries, cafes and bars with outdoor patios, a book store, gift shops, banks, a wine shop, a library and playground just to name a few.
The 24 Divisadero bus line passes along Cortland. This line is a great way to see the city. It passes through the heart of town hitting many major points of interest and connects to everything. It passes through to the Mission, Noe Valley, the Castro, the Height, the Western Addition, up and over Pacific Heights and down to the bay and the Marina Green. Glorious! A great resource to the tourist on a budget.
The house has wireless internet connection. On street parking is easy.
Loads of space for your clothing. In the background is the staircase upstairs. This bedroom is on it's own floor. No noise!
Ponge wasn't going to be around when I was arriving and he made sure to have someone else available to let me in and show me around. I was made to feel most welcome and immediately explored the main drag just around the corner which has lots of great places to eat and cafes. Martha and Bros Coffee co. was a Godsend as they opened at 5am. Being up early every morning I wandered around the corner for coffee and a small morning burrito. The cafe has a great vibe to get you off to a good start! I could jump on the 24 Bus to go down the hill to find another Bus to the city or walk to the Muni. The Muni is far nicer than any Bus! Ponge is vey cool guy and an easygoing host who takes pride in the way he offers the airbnb experience to his guests.
Ponge si a very nice person. Our stay at his house was relaxing and perfect. The house is cozy and clean, and our accommodation had a lot of privacy. Ponge is a really hospitable.
Ponge is a really nice guy, me and my friend loved stayed at his place. Everything was clean and cozy and we could use the kitchen too.
The neighborhood is really nice and we had the perfect transportation to arrive to Downtown easily.
Ponge is klasse!
Sehr empfehlenswert.
We loved staying at Ponge's place. The house is adorable and the bathroom is gorgeous. Even though we were very close to public transportation we were still able to find parking near the house. Ponge is a great host and my son adored him. We will definitely stay here again!
Ponge was an incredible host! He made our last city in the USA a memorable experience and was very welcoming and warm. We wish both Ponge and his SF Giants all the best and hope to see him again!

About the Host, Ponge
My family is originally from India but I grew up in San Francisco. I enjoy sports and cooking. I’m proud of my hometown and I enjoy sharing it with other people.
My daughter has gone off to college leaving me with a quite house and spare bedroom. Since then I have been hosting foreign exchange students from around the world. I though it was time to try air bnb too.
