Interaction with Guests
It's really up to the plans of the guests. If you hang around we interact. If you have a busy schedule we just see each other in passing. No problem come and go when you like. No restriction or rules for that stuff.
The people here are very progressive and love to tell you about the Seward neighborhood and all it has to offer. The Mississippi River is nearby to explore the only area where it flows through a limestone gorge. Hardly know you are in the city. Also Seward's unique historic "Milwaukee Avenue" neighborhood with restored city blocks, sans cars, of 19th century factory worker homes. This is a great neighborhood with many flower gardens to stroll through on the way to the stores or restaurants that are a walking distance away. Easy public transportation access to all parts of Mpls and St Paul.
There is a light rail station a ten minute walk from the house that connects you to the Mall of America, MSP Int'l Airport, Downtown Mpls and St Paul, The Capitol and the Twins, Vikings, Lynx, Timberwolves and Wild professional team stadiums. Also the commuter train that goes to Fridley, Coon Rapids, Anoka, Elk River and Big Lake to the north. And everything in between...
Best bikeways system in the US, that starts next to the house and bike rentals available nearby. City transit system of buses has 5+ routes going by the house in every direction.
No smoking, shoes off in house!, no loud music, respect sleeping hours, no synthetic perfumes.
They were kind enough to e-mail me the day before in advance to inquire when the check-in time would be, and gave me enough directions to the place via light rail/bus/walking. Gregory gave me a quick tour of the room when I arrived, plus a few tips as to the way to downtown Minneapolis and decent breakfast options. I could've done that myself on interweb, but it was that kind of personal touch that made this stay more down-to-earth and local. Walking distance from McDonald's, Light Rail station, 24/7 Cub Foods grocery store, Wendy's, bus stop to downtown, Seward Co-op grocery store w/ awesome salad & hot bar, U of M and many more. The room in the basement is pretty much self-containing w/ its own shower, sink and toilet. Some of the essential amenities were provided, e.g., Wi-fi, hair drier, heater, hand towel/shower towel, toilet paper, body/hand wash, a night stand, a coathanger etc. Gregory was very fluid and accommodating about the check-in/check-out process, and was very, very helpful in that helping me going to the light rail station with all the luggages, which I absolutely appreciated. Your privacy will be kept, as long as you respect theirs and follow their rules specified on the listing. I have nothing but respect for Gregory and Lucy for hosting me.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
My husband and I came here to explore Minneapolis, considering moving there. The neighborhood was very quiet and cute. There's an awesome co-op grocery and restaurants nearby. The bedroom is in the basement. The shower and toilet are not in a separate bathroom, but rather part of the whole basement. This was a little less privacy than we expected, but since the basement was totally separate from the rest of the house we felt very comfortable. Warm room, comfy bed, what more does one need?
Unfortunately, we never met Greg because we just weren't in the house much, though we did meet Lucy who was very nice. We did communicate via email though and he was very attentive to whatever we needed. Overall a great deal and a good experience.

Gregory was there when my mother and I arrived at his house. He helped us with some of our luggage and showed us around the part of the house we would be using. Gregory and Lucy were nice and helpful when we needed something. The place is a great deal and had all the basic amenities that are needed. I would definitely stay again.
We had a comfortable stay. Basement room had all the necessities so we had lots of privacy. Gregory and Lucy were very welcoming and easy-going. House is located in a nice neighborhood, close to public transportation, stores and even offered a nice stroll. Well situated from the airport & downtown as well.
This was my first time using AirBnB. Staying at Gregory's little finca was a very pleasant and comfortable experience. Very informative and friendly host, gave me great advice for a first time Minneapolis explorer. The bed was clean and cosy, slept very well after a day of cycling. Loved the house design/decor, the back garden was amazing. The place definitely transports you to a different plane. =) What a great first AirBnB experience.
