Wonderful stay with James and Di. Beautiful house and lovely bedroom, right on the river in the very pretty town of Puy-L'Eveque.
James had excellent suggestions of restaurants, day trips etc. Highly recommended.
I, and 5 fellow Australians, stayed at Maison Delmas for 4 nights in three of their beautifully decorated and very large bed rooms. Two of the four rooms available had on-suites and the other rooms shared a large and airy bathroom/toilet. The accommodation was in the heart of Puy L'Eveque, a beautiful medieval town on the banks of the Le Lot river, and within very easy walking distance to restaurants and the supermarket. James and Di were excellent hosts, very friendly and easy to communicate with. They openly shared their home with us and trusted us with keys and access to all areas when they were out. Breakfast was served in their beautifully renovated dining room and provided at an hour suitable to our daily needs. Proud of what they are creating, they were happy to take us on tours of the fascinating old mill that is at the heart of the complex. James was very knowledgeable about the area, and recommended day trips to various towns and locations that didn't disappoint. It's without hesitation that we recommend Maison Delmas as an excellent base to explore this fabulous region of France.
Staying Maison Delmas was an excellent choice and a pure joy for our family. James and Di welcomed 9 members of our family for an 8 day stay at their charming 200 year old B&B during a family wedding, helping us with with everything from restaurants, transportation, local trips, and laundry to catering a 60 person wine and hors d'oeurve evening reception in their gorgeous garden overlooking medieval Puy L'Eveque. We will gratefully return whenever we can and will heartily recommend Maison Delmas to anyone traveling to the Lot Valley region of France. Many thanks to James, Di, and their extended family for making our stay so memorable.
We had a wonderful stay at Maison Delmas - James and Di were wonderful hosts. The old house was beautiful and as two couples travelling together it was great to have our own separate space at the side of the house. Breakfast was divine too!
James was kind enough to recommend an amazing stop on our way to our next destination - Saint Cirq Lapopie, one of the prettiest places in France, we were so grateful for this local tip.
We just wish we could have stayed longer!

About the Host, James
I am interested in architecture and old buildings, anything and everything interests me consequently am an expert at none.
My current house is an ongoing project the main part of which has been restored, as always with old houses there is always more to do.
Living in France is an ideal, with excellent food and wine to be enjoyed in the region with the benefit of good weather. We enjoy a picnic and swimming at one of the many swimming lakes in the area particularly in the warm summer evenings. The walking in the area is excellent
