The building 'Magenta 62' is a noble house in the neoclassical style originally built by lombard craftsmen on the project, it seems, by the same Piermarini.
The client was a noble stranger of whom, today we’ve lost historical tracks.
It seems that he was a patron sponsor of the Convent of the Little Bells (convento Delle Stelline) and devoted in Santa Maria Delle Grazie, in fact the palace is only twenty meters far from the monument;
The construction is dated (by Robert Ribaudo architect, urban planner of the Milano town-hall ) in the first half of the seventeenth century.
Between the years 1966 and 1968 was subject to heavy maintenance, in conjunction of which has been built behind another building, the garages have been excavated, and has formed the beautiful garden at the frieze of the two bodies of the building.
The facade still has a rich portal architraved, flanked by pilasters of granite, two balconies: the first with a mistilinea plant, with elegant wrought-iron railings and the other, neo-classical, linear, with a rich era concrete columns . The windows on the facade are contoured of variously shaped plaster, standing out along with two smaller balconies at sides, with decorations and iron railings.
In this context, and inspired by the extreme closeness of the Museum of the Last Supper, we wanted to dedicate all of our suites to the artists of the Italian Renaissance.
Suite Michelangelo è dedicata al Maestro Michelangelo Buonarroti.

Chiesa Santa Maria delle Grazie
This is perhaps the most attractive church in Milan. Dating back to the 15th century, it holds in the refectory the famous “Last Supper” of Leonardo da Vinci, the most acclaimed work of art in history. The cloister, the Sagrestia Vecchia a la Tribuna, comes from the genius of the Bramante. It is one of the human heritages protected by Unesco.
Built by order of duke Francesco Sforza, over the course of the centuries it was transformed by works of artists such as Bramante and Leonardo. The Castello Sforzesco is a majestic building , has magnificent courtyards in Gothic-Renaissance style and in its rooms today are held exhibitions and high level conferences.
This is one of the most famous examples of Gothic architecture existing in the world. The symbol of Milano, it has more than 3000 statues and extends over nearly 12000 square meters! On the highest spire is the famous golden “Madonnina” that dominates the city from more than 100 meters in height. Inside, among splendid altars and sarcophaguses, is seen the statue of San Bartolomeo Scorticato.
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele
The living room of Milan. Attached to piazza Duomo, this place offers delicious cafes, refined restaurants and numerous bookstores; dating back to the second half of the 19th century, the gallery has two triumphal arches at the entry and the famous octagon in the center. Among designer shops and boutiques you may spend an enjoyable day of shopping.
In the nearby parco Sempione, the Palazzo dell’Arte has housed the Triennial since 1933; it is an interesting meeting of decorative arts , architecture and the new trends emerging in Italy. Most interesting are the spaces dedicated to the permanent collection of Italian design .
On the same course at Magenta n. 15, the collections are displayed in different rooms depending on the culture. Downstairs, past the first cloister (from the architectural decoration of Milan) is the section devoted to Old Milan.
The tour continues in the cloister ("Milanese society through the inscriptions") where you can visit the polygonal tower (late third century) and early medieval frescoes (XIII century).

It was a very well located appartment in the very central of milan, Close to everything !!! very clean and quite!!!! the only Thing would be that neither bed nor pillow were very confortable -
It was a lovely apartment - perfect for what we were after. The shower isn't very big and the pressure isn't great (which we have found to be the case in most Italian apartments) but it really isn't a big deal. The kitchenette was very handy for when/ if we wanted to make our own food/ drinks. The bed was comfy and the apartment was very spacious. The air conditioning unit wasn't great - not very powerful and was quite loud (although again we find this to be the case in most italian apartments) but it was nice to leave the windows open at night for fresh air.
We spent 4 nights at the Capital Magenta Suites and were greeted with a complementary bottle of wine. The location is fantastic -- a short walk to many attractions and right on all of the major metro lines.
The apartment was large, very clean and comfortable. It was cleaned daily. Great security in the place, definitely felt safe leaving our stuff.
