This gorgeous one bedroom apartment is located in the greatest neighborhood in NYC! You will be literally footsteps from some of the best restaurants and shopping in the entire WORLD!!! The apartment has just undergone extensive renovations to make it incredibly comfortable, very livable yet able to retain the personality of old New York that it has always possessed. The kitchen has all the modern amenities including a WASHER & DRYER! The tile floors are the original tiles from when the building was built in 1910. Did I mention a private back porch? This is even more rare than washer & dryers - a quaint covered porch with plenty of room! This apartment can sleep 2 in the bedroom then the large L shape couch can accommodate another person or two. (I also provide an air mattress). The owner of the building lives in the apartment above so I stress that there are to be no parties - NYC has plenty of great entertainment to offer so no need to do it in my apartment! It should be noted that this apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a walk up building (that means 1 flight of stairs). There is (email hidden) downstairs, it is typically respectful – if you are used to living in a city you probably wont even notice it. (you can link to my other apartment which is next door in same building and read the reviews of guests - they dont find it noisy). I do provide a white noise machine for those who may not be used to the sounds of NYC (the inevitable horns and sirens of city living!). If you have any questions or concerns let me know.

Jon was a perfect host. We did not meet him in person but he always answered all our questions quickly before and during the stay. His appartment is even better /bigger than on the photos ! It also has very nice decoration. Jon provides even all kind of adaptors for Iphone/ Ipads etc. Very convenient. The situation of the appartment is just super cool ( near metro stations/ restaurants /shops...) The only negatif point is the noise of the bar downstairs. Thankfully we were so tired from visiting all day that we slept well however.
Our stay at Jon's apartment was fantastic. The apartment is in excellent conditions. We loved Jon's care for all the details in the apartment and the attention for his guests (i.e. coffee, extra-towels, hair-dryer). I would say that the apartment is even better than it looks like in the pictures.
I traveled with my husband and a friend, who slept on the couch and said it was very comfortable.
The apartment is perfectly located to enjoy the vibe of lower Manhattan and I couldn’t imagine a better location to spend a long weekend in NYC.
Just a note for future guests: the bar below the apartment stays open til 2-3am in the weekend. I’m quite sensitive to noise and heard the background noise from the bar – though I managed to sleep with no problems - while my husband and friend staying with us didn’t even notice the noise from downstairs. Hence, I would suggest that people very sensitive - or simply not used - to city noise take this into account when considering staying at this place.
We didn’t have the chance to meet Jon, but he was always reachable and available on the cell phone. He made sure that everything was fine in the apartment and that we had a good time there. I would definitely recommend Jon as a host. Also, his friend was very accommodating upon our arrival -we got stuck in the traffic and arrived late- to give us the keys and get settled in the apartment.
This apartment is stunning. So many little design details to marvel over and it still feels like a real home. We were three friends who stayed here for a few days, two in the queen bed (so incredibly comfortable bed!) and one on the sofa and it worked great. The location of the apartment is perhaps its best feature - it's perfect! Close to the myriad of shops, bars and restaurants available in the area and just a couple of blocks away from the subway.
Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to meet Jon, but he was ever so accommodating during the booking process and his friends were very helpful with keys etc upon arrival.
There is nothing bad to say really. I would without a doubt recommend this place to friends and family and would love to stay here again myself the next time I come to NYC.
Such a great place to stay at! Not only is the apartment beautiful, but the host is also really friendly and reachable. Everything was very clean, just as it looks like in the pictures. Sometimes it's those little details that matter, when you know somebody is making an extra effort to make the whole experience all the more pleasant for you—like leaving neatly folded extra towels in the bathroom and water bottles in the fridge. I definitely would recommend this place and give it my best rating.
What a charming place. Never thought any place in NYC could be charming. Best sleep I ever had. The bedroom is very small but the bed you will not want to get out of. Jonathan's place easy to find, and everything worked well. So close to everything, in an area with a great vibe. I didn't get to meet Jonathan, but I can fully recommend him as a host!
Oh yes we drunk his open bottle vodka and bought him new one. When we told him that he said we should not bothered. So people stay at Jonathan place - free liquor too :-) Just kidding.
You cannot beat this location! Smack dab in the middle of the best part of the city in my opinion.... downtown is the place to be and right around the corner from the Bowery Hotel and Madame Geneva, a couple of my favorite and cool places to have drinks. Not to mention you're steps away from cafe's, great bars and restaurants in soho. Jon was easy to reach and so accommodating.....work required me to stay a few extra days and then the blizzard hit, Jon was there to assure me I would have a place to stay. I will definitely book with Jon again and I highly recommend his places. He is an amazing host.
