Completely private 2 bedroom suite, private bath and morning coffee nook with use of front porch veranda. We are in the historic district a block from restaurants, shops, museums, and moments from wineries, hiking & boating! Walk down to our lower lot where we have a fire pit & chairs to relax in and enjoy the quiet view on Van Cleef Lake. (Please read the "show more")

The space
The two bedroom suite upstairs and private bath are completely separate and private from the rest of our home. We live downstairs, but it is closed off from the upstairs for your privacy. Both rooms have very comfortable queen beds and chairs to relax in. The rooms are adjoining so you can leave the connecting door open or closed. Each room also has its own entrance onto the upstairs landing where there is also an open morning coffee nook with floor to ceiling windows. The private bath has an antique claw-foot tub that has been turned into a shower.

There is no kitchen, but we do have a Keurig coffee maker, electric tea kettle with coffee and assorted teas provided. There is a small refrigerator for such things as chilling wine and cheese, your own snacks and restaurant leftovers!

You have private use of our front porch veranda and on our lower on the lake there is a fire pit and chairs to relax in.

Please note: we also rent out a Tiny Boat House and Tiny Boat that are situated on the lower lot. If we have guests staying there, you are still welcome to enjoy the fire pit and chairs. We just ask that you be respectful of their space while you are down there.

Our home is a classic Gothic Revival Cottage in the center of the Historic District on Van Cleef Lake, part of the Erie Canal System, with beautiful views and a very private setting. We are located just a block from downtown.

Restaurants, museums, weekly farmers' market in the summer, are all within easy walking distance anywhere in the village. Wineries, breweries, local artisanal cheese shops, waterfalls, state parks, hiking, fishing, lakeside dining, historic places and tours, drive in movie theatre, and so much more only minutes away by car.
Area destinations in the Finger Lakes, Rochester, Ithaca or Syracuse are within less than an hour's drive. Great central location for day trips...or going nowhere and relaxing!

We will have maps ready and waiting for you with many suggestions to plan the experience you are interested in while visiting this amazing area!

Hi... my husband Chris is an avid sailor and enjoyer of wine, traveling, historic preservation and is a nonprofit management and fundraising specialist. I have thoroughly enjoyed embracing the wine industry since we moved here 10 years ago. I have worked at and managed a variety of wineries and became a certified Wine Educator.

We love it here and if there is anything that we can do to make your visit as more enjoyable, just let us know. We have hosted people from around the country and around the world and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting every single guest. We look forward to meeting you!!
