I only stayed for a short night while doing the Cycle Against Suicide 2015 and tired and weary as I was I just enjoyed the quietness and warmth of the room without making use of the access to the city etc. Stephen was kind enough to pick me and my luggage up from the location of arrival despite changing times and location and dropped me off again in the morning without any hassle. I found the room as described. Stephen also drawed me a map how to get to the city centre. I catered myself for breakfast which wouldn't have been neccessary and happened due to me being an Airbnb newbie and probably because I was too tired to listen properly in the evening, though I hope my host didn't mind. ;)
Stayed 2 days while in Clonmel for work. Very pleasant stay in their clean quiet room. Spotless modern shower room down hallway. Thank you, would stay again.
I was attending a two day conference at the Clonmel Park Hotel (hotel rooms fully booked out) and needed somewhere to stay. "Doorway to the South east" was ideally located, just 5 minutes walk from the conference . I had not given Stephen an arrival time, but was greeted with a very warm welcome when i showed up in the evening. A well presented, clean and cosy double room awaited me, with a shower and toilet just along the hallway. All the facilities were ideal, and lovely breakfast was also laid on. I stayed two nights, both nights i returned home past midnight but was able to quietly slip in the house with a key provided, the lay-out of the downstairs room and bathroom meant i didn't have to tip-toe upstairs and feel like an intruder when returning back late. Thank you, Jeremy
Stephen was a great host, took the time to chat with us about all the castles in Ireland, very knowledgeable and friendly guy! His partner Roni made us a fantastic Irish breakfast.
I enjoyed a hugely positive stay at
Stevens " doorway to the south east",
Even though I was on a work course it felt holiday time when I got to my base at Steven's house,
It is a ten minute walk from the impressive town of Clonmel and central to cork/ Kerry/ Waterford and the amazing rock of Cashel a short drive away,
Steven displays the airbnb community ideals and is a good example of why airbnb works so well.
Stephen was very helpful in recommending places for me to go that he thought I would like (and did!), and in guiding me via phone the times I got lost coming and going, learning the roundabouts, etc. The location is great for exploring southern Tipperary. The room was comfortable, cozy, and there was a perfect amount of privacy and conversation with Stephen and Ronny. They were very gracious hosts!
