About this listing
HELLO AND WELCOME!
Stay in a colourful, full of art condo, with a designer/artist hostess (me) in the heart of Vancouver. Your private, single- bed room is very small but comfortable. Attention: it has no window.
I am glad to help if you need information or tips on how to get around or what to do in Vancouver. I have an extra bike and you are welcome to use it since bicycle paths are great here and you can see a lot just biking around.
I am glad to offer you tea or coffee in the morning, the rest you will have to find in the store downstairs. It is a great Chinese market just below, which offers a big variety of yummy foods including sushi and dumplings. Next to it is an Italian restaurant, Starbucks and other coffee shops just across the street. I have a large balcony where you may find fresh tomatoes, parsley and green peas if you come before I eat them all. You are welcome to cook for yourself in my kitchen and use my spices.
LOCATION: The location is great: just in front of Stadium Sky-train (tube or subway) station, which means you can get here straight from the airport in about 45 minutes and save $40 on one way trip. If you are coming by car, I have a parking space for visitors. If you stay longer than 7 days, there will be a parking fee of $70/month.
AMENITIES: You are welcome to use the indoor pool, sauna, hot-tub, gym, and ping-pong table in the building and there is a large garden outside. The apartment has wireless internet. You can do your laundry using my in-suite washer & dryer, but under my supervision.
WHERE TO GO: You will be living 3 minutes away from Gastown, the historic part of Vancouver, where restaurants and bars are open until late. You will be at the gate of wonderful Chinatown and a few minutes walking distance from the business district. You are a 30 minute bus ride away from the mountains or the ferry terminal.
LANGUAGES: If you prefer to communicate in other languages, I also speak French, Polish, Spanish, Romanian, Hungarian, some Russian and German.
I have traveled to Asia, Europe and Africa, but I am always interested in your travel stories. I love meeting people and getting to know them.
If you play guitar, I would love you to play it. I may sing, but I the chances are rather small!
I would prefer you to be a woman, but a kind and considerate man would also be welcome to stay.
No smoking at home, but on the 3rd floor in the garden
You are welcome to cook, but also to clean after yourself. Please do not use the dishwasher for now.
Before doing your laundry ask me how to use the dryer.(very important).
Izabela is fantastic and made my stay in Vancouver comfortable and easy. Her house is filled with art and is very comfortable. She is a gracious host- she showed me around Vancouver, had tips and suggestions, and let me borrow a bike! The location is FANTASTIC, very central and easy to go about everywhere. I highly recommend this for single travelers!
Izabela was very welcoming and apartment is at very convenient location. Directions to apartment were very helpful. I reached very late as my flight was delayed but Izabela was very accommodating. It was very sweet of her to lend her bike for morning bike ride. In morning, she even offered me nice breakfast - Tea and Toast.
The room was similar to description. As mentioned room doesn't have window. You might need to keep the door little open to have some air ventilation from balcony.
Izabela is a very gracious and welcoming host. She helped me settle in and shared all sorts of lovely things to do and see in the city. She took me shopping through Chinatown and she makes an excellent tea. Her place is well located for getting around the city.
She welcomed me very much.

The room is also super pretty.
Personally I have interested in art (website hidden) I really liked it her place.
Her art work are everything very pretty and beautiful.
Location is also great. In downtown.
Just 2-3min walk to the sky train station.
I absolutely recommend staying her place when you visit in Vancouver.
Thanks again Izabela.
I'll let you know once I back to Canada.Take care always!
The room was clean, comfortable, small, but plenty big enough for my needs. Izabela is a wonderful host-- very sweet, friendly, and helpful. She was always around to offer advice and assistance with what to do see/do and the best ways to get around the city. The bike was probably the best part-- I loved riding my bike along the water and around Vancouver. I was even able to take advantage of the hot tub, which was really nice. I definitely recommend Izabela's place for solo travelers.
As you see from the photos, this is an amazing apartment. The mini room is perfectly adequate and comfortable. It is all about the location, which is excellent - everything you need is within walking distance. But the Skytrain is on the doorstep, and the buses are a short walk away if you wish to explore further. Izabela is a very friendly hostess, nothing too much trouble. She has maps and a boxful of tourist information and will offer advice if needed. Not only is the rental very reasonable, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Izabela, and in the beautiful city of Vancouver.

About the Host, Izabela
I am an artist/interior designer. I traveled a lot and love meeting new people. I really like when people feel at home here in my crowded/whimsy place, play guitar and sing.
