Ideally you do need your own transport in this area.
The only rule which would like you observe is enjoy your stay and leave the house as you found it! we leave cleaning material so you can do this.
Just back from a wonderful stay in Jim's cottage. House clean and had everything we would need. Boys had a great time with the board games in the evenings. Lovely place to switch off from it all. Would definitely recommend it.
While Arthurstown is a great location with lots to do, this property needs some TLC before I would recommend it. The shower doors leak, and the dust build up throughout the house makes as staying here uncomfortable.
With reference to the dust, this is caused by harvesting of wheat which is in a large field to the south of the property and only occurs during mid August and is normal for this time of year. The shower door does not always close fully but has been sorted since. This is an old style cottage with a lot of character, so it is not meant to be extremely modern. Our other property at King's Crescent Arthurstown is more modern and spacious. "It is horses for courses"
Lovely place. Easy to find with the directions. We loved the ease of the lockbox. Good setup with everything you need. Loved the gorgeous backyard. And the area is very nice to explore.
Really great cottage, very homely, perfect for getting away from it all! It's the little things that count though like a gas hob, open fires, a short walk to Dunbrody house and an excellent host. Would thoroughly recommend.
Wonderful cottage. Just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of London life. All amenities provided with an extensive welcome folder full of local area tips and tourist destinations. Would highly recommend.
- Jim and Virginia are the very definition of friendliness and helpfulness. You won’t find better people anywhere.
- Fantastic scenery and charming villages.
- Location is remote enough to be peaceful, yet close enough to Waterford for urban conveniences. From 15 to 30 minutes walk to three other villages (Ballyhack Lower, Ramsgrange, Duncannon).
- The house is clean and very comfortable, with all modern conveniences.
lovely property in a fantastic area. Perfect for getting to the Ploughing show.
