  • The room made a very good impression right from the start, and didn't disappoint at any time. it was clean, well furnished, and had good, reliable internet connection. the kitchen was fully equipped and a supermarket is one block away. for people not liking to cook the usual fast food was also only one block away.

The appartment is located in the suburbs of philly, meaning that you will need about 45 minutes to get into town without a car. however, the actual getting into town is uncomplicated by bus as well as subway. if you don't mind being a bit out of town this appartment should not disappoint.

  • Really enjoyed staying with Walter and Susan. Was in town for a wedding that was nearby, and they were very friendly, helpful and communicative. The bed was comfortable and it was nice having access to a kitchen and also some privacy. It was the perfect place for me considering I needed to be at an event nearby, and would stay again if I'm back in the area.

  • Nice people. Very helpful. Quiet neighbors. I had a good experience living there.

    March 2014
  • Walter was very helpful leading up to the trip and responsive. We spent most of the trip exploring Philly and his home was perfect for a trip when you are on the go.

  • Well, Walter is very nice. He told us much things to see about the city. The breakfast was fine (we've appreciated the fruits). But the neighborhood is not ideal to visit the city center (trains are not frequent). The room is juste quite good (beds are a bit poor, the bathroom's door can't be closed).

    October 2012
  • The house was secure, and room was clean & comfortable.
However, the neighborhood is not the safest. Be careful if you're out walking at night.

    October 2012
  • Wally was very generous and picked me up at the train station, even when I was much later than planned. Great place, friendly hosts - a great first airbnb experience!

    September 2012
  • If you're looking for basic, budget accommodation, then this fits the bill. However, the neighbourhood is not the safest and I wouldn't recommend coming here as a lone traveller. This room is small but has two comfortable chairs and a TV. There were only net curtains so it's quite bright in the mornings. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. Walter collected us from the station and did respond to any questions we had during the week. I think this accommodation worked a little better for us as we rented all 3 rooms so had a bit more space but there's not heaps of privacy if you're just renting one room and other guests are there.
