I was in Philadelphia for the marathon and to hunt for an apartment rental for school. The room was clean and perfect, parking was easy, and Walter was warm and attentive. Great!
Walter was extremely friendly and I had no problem talking to him or getting in touch with him. He let me stay a little later than check out time and was very understanding. However, the neighborhood is really sketchy and I didn't feel comfortable going out by myself and walking to public transportation.
Germantown overall is just not a safe part of Philadelphia and I wouldn't recommend coming here if you are traveling alone, don't have a car and especially if its one of your first times visiting Philadelphia.
Convenient location located on a main road with plenty of public transport - great for exploring Philly! It was perfect for us - full kitchen for any meals we had at the house, grocery store just down the road, plenty of on-street parking, etc. Room itself was clean and comfortable and everyone in the house was really nice. Walter and Susan kindly made sure we knew about events happening in the city during our stay. Highly recommend for the price point!
Wally was very helpful and polite, and getting in was very straightforward. The other tenants were friendly. The room isn't very large but it's fine for a short stay, and access to the kitchen makes it much easier. As Wally pointed out to us, the neighborhood near the house is pretty nice in one direction, and not as nice in the other. We were mostly driving to other parts of the city so it wasn't a big deal.
I thought the room was a good value and it met our needs well.
This room was perfect for my short visit! It was clean with access to a shared bathroom and kitchen. Susan was very accommodating and made me feel welcome.
At first I was a little wary about the neighborhood but it turns out that the neighbors are friendly and nice.
Will definitely stay here again!
Walter was an excellent host. He was very patient in dealing with all my questions, provided great information in reply, and had no problem with my wife extending her stay at short notice. It was a great experience. I'd highly recommend people to rent a room from him.
Walter was an amazing guy. I never had an opportunity to say good bye to him because of my work. The room is well maintained and has a cable tv too. so ideal for short or long term stay. just right across , u get the bus to reach the subway. so perfect room for the price.
