Our cottage is a private detached backyard studio, with separate entrance, in a very convenient Mountain View location. This light filled space includes a large room with queen size bed, desk and huge closets. The corner kitchenette includes a sink, fridge, toaster, microwave and kettle, but there is no stove or oven. The cottage has its own spacious bathroom with skylight. French doors open out to a shared backyard with patio, lots of plants, vegetable garden and small lawn. The space can accommodate up to two people.
Our home is on a quiet street, but convenient to all you need for a perfect stay. We are a 10 minute walk to downtown Mountain View, where there is a small grocery store, fantastic restaurants and cafes, a pool, library and performing arts center. Also, it's a 20 minute walk to the Mountain View public transportation hub, where you can access Caltrain, VTA light rail and the bus. The Caltrain takes you directly to San Francisco or San Jose. We're a 30 minute drive to SJC and 45 minutes to SFO. If you’ll have a car, there is plenty of street parking. We are also a 10 minute drive to (website hidden) headquarters and other Silicon Valley companies. We're a 5-10 minute drive to Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and other stores. This is the perfect place to stay if you are in town for a conference, for work, or to visit the region.
We're a professional couple with kids, I'm from the area and my husband is from Europe. We love meeting people and will do what we can to help you have an enjoyable stay! On parle Francais aussi!

A cozy, relaxing atmosphere while in close proximity to the bustle of downtown MV. I felt very much at home. Highly recommended for those wanting a home away from home.
I booked Ceryl cottage for my parents to stay for over a week. She welcomed them on the night they arrived and she was extremely nice. The cottage was clean and very nice. It is also very close to downtown Mountain View and my parents really enjoyed walking around the neighborhood.
Cheryl's cottage is a comfy home away from home. Everything was really homey, which led to a great stay. You are walkable to downtown MV, but get to enjoy a quiet neighborhood with ample parking. We would absolutely stay here again. Cheryl was very responsive and nice to work with.
Cheryl's cottage was lovely, very clean, and had all the necessary amenities we needed during our stay. Cheryl and her husband Pascal were great hosts! Their advice and instructions made our stay very smooth. Cheryl even got us coffee to help us feel like home! We can highly recommend Cheryl's cottage to anyone travelling to Mountain View!
Great place! A spacious studio apartment that's quiet and well maintained. Had a great stay!
Cheryl and Pascal's lovely cottage was great. It's super clean and tidy, well-located for downtown Mountain View and Googleplex, and Cheryl and Pascal made me feel really welcome. Would thoroughly recommend!
The cottage is a warm and beautiful place and the reality matches pretty much the description.
The fact that you enter the space via the bathroom is something I've never seen so far but find it charming. All very clean and in a good, cared shape. I will def. come back!
Hi! I look forward to hosting you at our home. I'm from the Bay Area, and Pascal, my husband, is from Switzerland. We've got kids who are lots of fun. We love staying active and eating yummy food. When we can, we like to go hiking, biking and swimming. Both of us love to eat, especially Asian food and cheese, but not cheese on Asian food! Between the two of us, we've lived in quite a few countries, Pascal says of the places he has been, his favorite is Madagascar, and I don't have a favorite, but I especially loved Turkey and southern China. Airbnb didn't exist yet back when we went to those places. We're excited to meet people from anywhere! When hosting, we'll do everything we can to provide a clean and welcoming environment. We want to make sure that guests have what they need to be comfortable, but we probably won't be hanging out and getting into your business.
