Nearby: Iconic Xinh's Clam and Oyster House 15 minutes in Shelton. (website hidden) Award winning Salish Cliffs Golf Course 1 1/2 miles (with Little Creek Casino/several restaurants and big name shows) (website hidden) and 20 minutes from Olympia and The Evergreen State College, a much praised liberal arts college. Olympia has been called the "hippest town on the west coast." The house itself is on quiet Oyster Bay with beach walk possible and several terrific, long time neighbors. House itself is private and set off to itself. Shelton, 15 minutes away, is the gateway to the Olympic Peninsula, Olympic National Forest and Olympic National Park, and Hood Canal. Lots to see and do in the neighborhood including just north of Olympia, The Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge.
Buses run to Olympia from Little Creek Casino...but would need transport to get there. It is possible to get Airporter transport to Little Creek Casino and I could provide transport to my home from there. But one would probably want a car to get around.
Other Things to Note
No smoking. No visiting pets please. Resident cat prefers to be alone
. Prefer quiet after 11 but negotiable.
Would prefer fairly quiet guests (after 11 pm), non-smoking, no red wine in bedroom or sitting room. People with interest in local history, natural history, and respectful of our need to use water with caution. We are on septic system and well. The water is great and filtered.
