After a long day of exploring NY, it is appreciated to COME BACK TO A QUIET HOME, I was sleep deprived for years UNTIL I moved here, now my sleep is without interruption!!!
My building is quiet and everyone respect the 11 o'clock pm time to quiet down...
Other then that, it's very relaxed.
Wow, a really spacious apartment, lots of room, everything was nice and clean, and the location was good, near the Church St. F train and a grocery store.
I stayed with Manon for 1 night, as a stopover before my homeflight.
Her appartment is very easy to reach and well furnished, with a nice kitchen, bathroom and a very comfy bed in the main bedroom, which was for my personal use during the duration of my stay.
Manon is a very warm welcoming person and made my stay a pleasant experience (and the espresso was great too!!).
I would love to stay at her place another day.
Manon has a lovely apartment situated in a quiet part of a very secure and safe building. Everything was clean and thoughtfully arranged for her guests' comfort. It was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting our daughter and her family in Brooklyn near the Parade Grounds south of Prospect Park. We will happily stay there again if possible!
My mom and I stayed at Manon's place for several nights while we were visiting family in Brooklyn. The place was very clean and spacious for the two of us. The subway was across the street and a grocery store was just 1 block away...both extremely convenient. And for being in a city, the apartment is very quiet even with the windows open!!
My mom and I both communicated with Manon via email prior to our trip. She was very fast in responding to our emails. I, unfortunately, did not get to meet Manon in person since my mom arrived in town a few days before I did. But my mom said Manon was very nice and pleasant, and there were no issues with getting settled. My mom and I both said we would stay here again the next time we are in Brooklyn. Thanks Manon!
Manon is the perfect host! When I booked several months in advance, immediately she was interested in talking with me. We talked on the phone and she was most helpful answering all my questions. She,too, was very informative about the place in general. I felt as if I had known her for a long time. She also was very accomodating to us when we were not going to be able to pick up the key until late at night. She met with our son who lives nearby to come pick up the key ahead of time.
Her place is very clean and is exactly like pictures.
The place was very comfortable for us....I can see where the heat could be a possible problem, but she has plenty of fans and windows that open and cross ventilate. The apartment is on back side of building and is very quiet because of this. She has plants growing in windows and it is light bright and cheery. I liked the basil growing in window. The sun and heat caused a delicious scent in the kitchen!
A very convenient location for us. We plan to stay again.
Manon was a wonderful hostess. She has a charming flat that is warm and inviting. Her taste is excellent so you have the added advantage of being able to admire her art and aesthetic. We needed a place to stay for several days while transitioning to our new apartment, also in the neighborhood. So we had the opportunity to explore the area. There are some terrific restaurants, both ethnic and particular to the growing Brooklyn artisanal food scene. The location is an easy commute to other Brooklyn 'hoods and Manhattan, and a nice walk to Prospect Park. All in all a great experience and I would highly recommend Manon's plush pad.
Manon was a great host - she gave us all the details about the flat and the neighborhood. The flat is very conveniently located - the subway is a few steps away from the doorstep. You can easily get to Manhattan or explore Brooklyn and Queens. The flat is quiet, which is rare in N.Y. We recommend this place if you want to get the real feel of Brooklyn with an option of getting to the very centre of Manhattan in less than half an hour.
