The experience was very good. Rory was very friendly. Fully available for any questions or need. Even as we arrived home late, he had bought us some bread and milk for breakfast. He helped us a lot.
Very well situated apartment, 15 min from Temple Bar area. Very confortable beds, the apartment has all the necessary to spend a couple of days in the city.
Rory was very friendly and helpfull solving some doubts we had about things to do in the city.
Very recommendable place to stay.
We had a great stay at Rory's! He was very helpful giving all kind of tips and directions and the place is quiet, spacious and safe. It's a 15 minute walk from Temple Bar and is well connected to the airport.
We stayed with 4 friends using both bedrooms and the sofa couch which were all very comfy.
Some of the reviews here mention the cleanliness of the apartment: we thought it was tidy and clean enough. It might not be clinically clean as you might expect in a 4-star hotel, but we didn't think it was anything to be concerned about.
Rory also left some supplies for breakfast, clean sheets and towels. All very good value for probably the lowest price you'll find, unless you want to be in a noisy, tiny, dirty apartment in Temple Bar. ;)
Rory was a great host and he made are time in Ireland a very positive time and he was very helpful with planing are side trips. The apt. was nice and great location, very safe ad quiet. We would stay there stay there again.
Betty Carley and girls.
Apartment was in a good location, very close to the Jameson Distillery and Guinness. However, I felt that the apartment wasn't really that clean. It felt like someone was living there and evacuated for the weekend that we were there. Food in the Fridge, etc.
Richard I am sorry that you feel this way. I really work hard to offer my
guests a nice place to stay and warm informative welcome so that they are
happy guests! On the day you were checking in, very much last minute
circumstances, entirely out of my control, meant that I could not greet you
personally on your arrival. A friend of mine received you in my place who
did mention to you that the food in the fridge was for you to use. I tried
to meet you later on a number of occasions and also replied carefully to
your emails requesting information giving a lot of useful suggestions. I
regret that we did not meet. If we had I would have explained to you that
airbnb works with people renting out their homes. Hence I do not rent out
an empty sterile apartment - rather i stock the fridge with the basic
fixings for breakfast as a gift to my guests and offer any teas/coffee,
cereals, condiments that are in the presses .... this is how airbnb works -
you get a friendly helpful host who offers you his/her home which is clean.
This suits some people - but not everyone I know. I am confident the
apartment was clean though not sterile - apologies. I regret that this did
not meet your expectations. Regrettably you chose not to meet me during
your stay or to pass on your concerns in any other way as I would be
happier do try to help you then rather than hearing of this afterwards when
it is perhaps too late. I am glad you found the location good and trust
overall you enjoyed your visit to Dublin. I hope you will have future
positive experiences staying with airbnb! Rory
Rory is a very accomodating host. We had an extremely early arrival at his place, and he was there to meet us. He even held our baggage for us until we were able to officially check in. He is personable and helpful guide to the city making sure to communicate with us each evening. He is more than willing to work with you when glitches arise during your stay. He suggested a tour for our family and we were quite elated that he was able to book it for us right away. additionally we had an early morning departure from Dublin, and he even arranged taxi service to the airport for us. The apartment was comfortable and roomy for our family of four.Additionally, every night Rory check on us via email to make sure that we were enjoying our stay. This apartment is very centrally located, approximately 5 blocks north of the river, 2 blocks from Jameson Distillery practically all the main attractions were accessible within a 20 block radius. Including Temple Bar, Guinness Distillery, Christ Church of England, The Dublin Castle and City Hall, Dublinia just to name a few.
Rory's place made a great home base to tour Dublin from--and it's right down the street from what turned out to be my favorite pub in the city. The flat has everything you need and is conveniently located. Rory is so kind and helpful--a great guy to talk to and he'll help you make the most of your stay. We had a great time. Thanks Rory!
Very nice and big apartment in a good location. Rory was very helpful with everything and gave us a very pleasant stay. Most recommended!
Rory was very kind during our 9-person family trip to Ireland. We had many different arrival times, multiple cars and needed two apartments and he helped get us off on the right foot. The location is only 10 minutes walk from all the sights of Dublin and the wifi was the fastest we had during our in 4 weeks in Ireland! Thanks again Rory.
