The apartment is located in a Regency building built in 1850, within the elegant Lansdown area of Cheltenham. Occupying the whole entire first floor, it is decorated to a very high standard, mixing beautiful architectonic features with modern furnishings. It has two large bedrooms; one of them has an ensuite bathroom and the other one can be set up as a twin or a double bedroom. Both beds are very large, Super King (1.80) size beds. An additional, large dressing room cum bathroom is available to guests who can enjoy bathing in the house's original ceramic roll top bath! There are two showers in total; with one of them being a rain shower. Our kitchen is large enough to sit ten people at the table and has a wood burner stove which makes dinner parties in the winter, a real cosy treat! The lounge is spacious and can accommodate seven people, comfortably.
There is free WI-FI, Sky tv, "on demand", Wii and cinema surround sound. We offer free car park space for two cars and the train station is less than 5 minutes away. If we happen to be in town, we will always make an effort to collect our guests from the station if arriving by train.
Within the rental, we provide a full compliment of high quality cotton bedlinen, towels and kitchen linen, including tablecloths and tea towels. In the winter months, we provide one basket of logs for the wood burner in the kitchen/dining area. Other useful gadgets such as an ipod/ipad docking station are also available as it is a powerful hairdryer! We also provide our overseas visitors with a car navigation system if required. During the hot summer months we provide our guests with a fan.
The apartment is five minutes' walk from the Montpellier area which has some of the best shops, bars and restaurants in Cheltenham. It is conveniently located a few minutes away from the Lansdown bar which is the most coveted late night bar during the Gold Cup horse race festival.
We specialise in short rentals, particularly during the Gold Cup, The Open, St. Valentine's weekend, Christmas breaks and the many Summer festivals. We have also rented the apartment for family celebrations such as birthdays or "get togethers". The house is usually decorated during Christmas and Easter. We are very adaptable and will do our outmost to meet our guests' needs.

****PLEASE NOTE**** All our guests receive a little surprise as a welcome pack as well as having access to coffee, teas and other drinks. We are proud to be one of the few properties that does not charge additional fees for pets, for the cleaning of the apartment upon check out or for hosting extra guests.
There are no restricted areas within our home. We allocate storage space for our guests.
The Lansdown area is one of the best kept architectonic neighbourhoods in Cheltenham. In the 1850s, local, wealthy professionals lived in this area in full prosperity and the enormous mansions reflect well the economic power these families held. Towards the beginning of the 20th century, horse race owners and prestigious private schools settled in the area. Today, residents in the neighborhood take enormous pride in showcasing these impressive buildings in the best possible way. For a weekend, or maybe a longer stay, you too can now experience what is like to live in one!
There is a convenient bike path outside the house. Similarly the bus number 94 that takes you into town, stops a few metres away. The railway station with a taxi rank is only a few minutes walk.
Other Things to Note

Smoking is not permitted in the apartment but it is allowed in the gardens. We provide a very comprehensive home pack with instructions on how all gadgets work.
We aim to meet our guests' needs as much as possible. We would be grateful if guests kept good comms with us during the planning stage of their stay as this really helps with ensuring we get it right! Thanks!
Maria has a truly beautiful home filled with beautiful things. And she is a very generous host. We had a lovely time, celebrated a milestone birthday in her house. The house is centrally located, with easy access to the station and town centre. We did not have our own car but thanks to the location of the house, found it very easy to access public transport.
We had a great time in Maria's delightful home. It was as described, in a lovely area and within walking distance of the town centre. Maria was perfect - informative, replied quickly and left excellent instructions. Very comfortable apartment.
Felt very welcomed by Maria! Lovely high ceilings, big windows and comfy beds. The welcome pack was really handy, and came with a lot of descriptions of things to do and see in the area. Instruction guide to the house was useful as well! Was a great place to base ourselves whilst exploring The Cotswolds.
Maria's apartment was just perfect for our weekend in Cheltenham. It was exactly as advertised and combined the splendour of a top hotel with extra comforts of being in someone's home. The location is superb, facilities excellent (including a very generous welcome pack) and I would highly recommend this place to stay to anyone.
Although Maria wasn't there in person she left very clear instructions on how to access thr property in her absence. On arrival it was a nice touch to receive a bottle of champagne, chocolate biscuits and some breakfast items - all very well received.
Had a great stay at this lovely apartment. We stayed for the weekend and arrived to find a bottle of fizz, milk, juice, croissants, crisps etc. Location was ideal, only a 10 minute walk into Montpellier. Very comfortable and cosy stay, thank you Maria.
We had a wonderful weekend in Maria's apartment. She was so welcoming, getting in touch very quickly and giving very clear instructions about the apartment. The apartment itself is very conveniently located near the train station and major roads. It's comfortable and had everything we needed.
We'll definitely get back in touch with Maria when we next want to stay in Cheltenham.

A keen traveller with an over developed taste for interior decoration, I try to get away as often as possible. Speak a couple of languages and am always trying to learn a new one. I have rented my properties across the world for a few years now and have a methodical and practical approach to it; it works!
I have listed three of my most loved properties: one is at the higher end of architectural accomplishment in Cheltenham, "Die Kabine" is at the opposite end, as a wooden cabin in a German rural area, surrounded by forests. From July 2014, we will be taking bookings for our Cotswold Lake Lodge "The Rocklight", which offers a stylish retreat by the water.
The most important link between them all is that they offer something truly special that you will not find in hotels; amazing comfort and true character! I hope you will love them too!
We love hosting and giving guests memorable, unique experiences they can not have by staying in hotels. Personal touches, great art and interesting stories fill our homes and make them very special places. We travel a lot due to work and family committments, mainly in Europe. It is our belief that our homes are sadder places when they are unoccupied and we like knowing that someone is enjoying and looking after them in our absence. That's, in a nutshell, what drives us to host; we look forward to welcoming you!
