My stay at Blayne's New York apartment was nothing but amazing. It was only by chance that I stayed at his listing, as my previous hotel accommodation fell through. Not only was Blayne quick at responding to my messages, the approval was quick considering the short notice of my request ( literally just one day before I needed the apartment) . I did not meet Blayne himself during my stay, and was met by/ greeted by Bekim.. Who showed us all the amenities of the wonderful apartment and also woke up very early on our day of check out. Bekim was helpful and answered any of our questions about the apartment.
The apartment itself is an old building, but brilliant condition. Everything was clean and in working condition. The kitchen and living space was great and jus had enough room for my 2 friends and my self to unwind after a busy day of exploring. Blayne's bed was AMAZING! One of the most comfortable bed I've slept on. Blayne also catered for a third person in this apartment and provided us with an extra blow up mattress in the living room! Which was very much appreciated!
The toilet and shower/wash room was not pictured in the photos, which made me a bit worried when I was deciding to rent this space. But let me tell you, the toilet and bathroom/wash room was great too. Why it lacked in size made up for its cleanliness and usefulness. The toilet and bathroom was recently renovated/ tiled just 1 or 2 years ago. This was important for me and my friends and it definitely delivered.
Also, Blayne had wifi and Netflix which made it quite handy on days you wanted to start your day late ... Or come home and relax to after a tiring day of exploring.
The location of the apartment was also great, just one block away from Canal street station which connected you to the main subway train station, which meant I could go anywhere around Manhattan or New York for that matter in a matter or minutes. About 15 minute walk from china town, 10 minute walk from little Italy town, and varick street was literally just around the corner, this meant finding s place to eat near by took no time! Broadway was also a 10 minute walk from the apartment, which is home too some great retail/ stores.
We did not meet Blayne, however Blayne was always there via text to answer questions and suggest local secrets that made our trip even that more amazing! I am very thankful for my stay!
All in all one of the best apartments I've stayed as part of AIRBNB and would love to return back one day when I visit New York Again. Thanks Blayne, from one very happy and satisfied customer.
It was an amazing experience stay in the middle of Soho.
The apartment is a little student aparment.
As a ny Manhattan apartment the things of the owner are in the flat, included the clothe and shoes.
It is a very noisy bedroom but if you connect the air it is ok.
There is no door between the kitchen living room and bedroom.
The bathroom sometimes need a plunger.
The shower and bathroom are very little and separate.
But if you know all this things could be a very good experience.
Everything was spot on, we were welcomed by a friend of Blayne who provided us with all the local knowledge and questions we had.
The apartment was clean and ready for our stay.
Our only downside was there was no washing machine in the building :-( But there are washing facilities close by.
Also, I've never seen a washroom so small - it's unique !
The whole experience was very good. Blayne was very easy to communicate with and everything with the apartment was as advertised. We never meet Blayne but were recived by a very friendly gentelman Bekim, who even left us a couple of extra hours upon checkout, since we had a evening flight out of NYC. We spent 9 night in the apartment. Kitchen was sufficeient enough for us to cook some diners a couple of nights. Apartment was bigger then I thought. Location is good, close to nice areas with bars, restaurants and shops. Bed is big enough for 2 people, TV with Netflix etc.
All in all I recommend Blanyes apartment, he and Bekim are very good hosts and have done this before, no hickups and delays.
I've stayed at Blayne's once before and I knew this was exactly the apartment I wanted to stay at again. Perfect location for everything you want in Manhattan - as well as SoHo, Greenwich Village, TriBeCa, Little Italy being on your doorstep it's also really easy walking distance to Midtown. The bed is without doubt the comfiest I've had the pleasure of sleeping in, and the apartment is kitted out with everything you'd need. Blayne made the whole process really easy and was great to communicate with. Even sorted out postage of a hat we left behind! Would ALWAYS want to stay here if lucky enough to come back.
Blayne was an exceptional host, he made the check in and out very easy. He frequently checked in to see if everything was alright. The apartment was clean and spacious for New York. The location is perfect, easy access to all metro lines.
