Welcome to the middle of Hollywood.
Wifi, cable, hair dryer, soaps/shampoos, towels, sheets, iron/ironing board, and fully equipped kitchen all included. Public parking garage next door.

The space

This is a One bedroom apartment, you get the bedroom, I sleep in the living room(main pic).
- $70/night (includes 14% hotel tax)
- No cleaning fees, nor security deposit
- If one night stay, I ask $120/night to cover cleaning costs
- Public parking garage next door $12/night + $16/day (cash only, paid directly to garage)
- Central Hollywood location, one block from middle of Hollywood Blvd Walk of Fame, no car needed, EVERYTHING within walking distance

Built in 1920's as hotel, later converted into apartments. The apartment building is located on Cherokee. In the very heart of Hollywood, one block off the Walk of Fame. In 1930, Bing Crosby rented an apartment here for 70$ while filming his first "Reaching for the Moon" (1930)

The building has a lot of character and with kind, artistic neighbors from around the world. Laundry facility(1.25 wash/1.00 dry) in basement of building. Pet friendly building and I am willing to allow pets in apartment on case-by-case basis. Please advise of pets, prior to confirming reservations. It is a gated apartment building, with secure parking garage next door for 12USD/night + $16/day. The Geisha House, fine dining restaurant and dance club, Angels and Kings nightclub/bar, Cafe Audrey's, Musso and Frank's, Kress and many more restaurants, bars, clubs are one block walk.

My one bedroom apartment, approximately 850 sqft, is on the 4th floor(top floor) southwest corner of the building. The neighbors are quiet, social, young professionals. We all like to work hard, play hard and share many evenings together, celebrating life in general. The apartment overlooks the parking garage and Hollywood Blvd. The view is amazing! By day, you can see over all of LA, stretching out as far as you can (URL HIDDEN) night, the neon of the Boulevard, CNN, Kress, TVGuide Network, Renaissance hotel and Kodak Theatre buildings. The apartment has all hardwood floors, plenty of closet space, full bath, full kitchen (even an old "ice box" turned into cabinet), dinette, furnished living room and california king-sized bed. Before going out to enjoy Hollywood...you can enjoy watching the sunrise and the sunset from this apartment, which gets beautiful sunlight all day long.

The apartment has a nice, peaceful, relaxing vibe, my interior decor still needs some work(I am a single guy:) and I am open to any recommendations you may have while visiting.

Be warned, Hollywood is a very busy, noisy neighborhood. If you are sensitive to noise (helicopters, nightclubs, sirens, screaming, laughter), I recommend a rental in another city. On the other hand, if you are wanting to explore and experience the never-ending nights of Hollywood parties... they are right outside your door:)

You are most welcome here:)

Stephen was a fantastic host, he came to meet us when we arrived to let us into the apartment. He also helped us with ideas, answered questions and was always up for a chat. The apartment is right off Hollywood Boulevard. The room was very clean and spacious with every amenity you could possibly need. We enjoyed our stay!

I needed a place to stay at the last minute in the Hollywood area and I found Steven's place. He replied promptly and I stayed with him for two nights. His place is located in a charming old early Hollywood building which has definitely seen better days. There's an old garden pathway with a dry fountain within the security gates. His apartment is charming in that funky old world (not gutted and without any original details) way, spacious, clean and comfortable and he is a wonderful, considerate and generous host. It is however in the heart of Hollywood and if you're not familiar with what the real Hollywood is like or have never been to a gritty big city it might be a unwelcome reality check. I considered it immensely safe given that the police are right next door but it's not pristine and shiny and glittery, it's the real deal folks. His kitchen window overlooks the location where "Pretty woman" was shot. It's still pretty seedy looking but the area has improved substantially since then but it has not been gentrified. This might be a useful frame of reference for prospective renters to check out in advance. Parking is definitely a challenge as Stephen outlines in his listing. He is incredibly helpful in explaining the options and the pricing as well as the pros and cons. Take his advice seriously and be prepared (to pay) for this or better yet, take an Uber or a Lyft or the Metro or the like to his place. Everything is easily walkable in the area. If you're fascinated by watching people you'll love this place. It was a great find and I will consider him again as I need a place in the area.

Great Host..He even picked me up from LAX and took me to my first LA City Counsel Meeting. He is extremely knowledgeable of the Hollywood area...ranging from food to cheapest internet/printing places.

Stephen's place is very clean and charming set in a historic area. It used to an old hotel converted into residential apartments. Stephen is very organized and goes out of his way to help guests feel right at home and settled down. Our friendly host even showed us around the farmers' market on a Sunday morning. Perfect airbnb experience!

The entry of the appartment is scaring. Also the whole building. Steve is a really friendly person, but for me it was the last time I've been there.

Response from Stephen:
First-Local Hollywood Police Station is less than 100 meters from the entry of apartment building. The building is gated with key or access code needed for entry. There are security cameras in the building lobby. Also, there is security guard living on-site, available via mobile 24/7/365. Dear Lucia, it would have been helpful to explain what is scary about the entry to the building. In any case, I have no ability to control the entry to a 90 unit apartment building...and if the entry was scary, were you able to walk on the Walk of Fame, Hollywood Blvd? Thank you for not returning. I would not accept you if you asked and I am sorry for leaving you such a kind and positive review. To all who may read this, please note, during Lucia's stay, I was away on a last minute business trip. Lucia and her brother had my entire apartment to themselves (whole apartment normally priced at 130/night, but booked and paid the bedroom rate of 80/night). Airbnb Hosts be warned, ungrateful guest here.
