Honestly Ken was a great host, he was highly helpful and resourceful. I recommend others to check out the art studio.
I rent this studio with my girlfriend for 1 month. Ken helped us a lot. He is a good host: responded quickly, gave us everything we need. We love this studio.
The bikes are so convenient for the market shopping.
The neighbor is quiet and safe.
The kitchen is enough for the quick and light cookings. We cooked for nearly all day meals there, even though we did Asian style cook.
The WiFi was slow at beginning, but it became much better after Ken upgraded it, I think. You can YouTube smoothly.
The air conditioner would be efficient if you put the real fan in the studio. The weather was too hot and the studio can be easily 'heated up'.
The bed seems too soft for us, and not so comfort when the weather is hot. That's all for the one month experience. Hope it helps.
My husband and I were so pleased when we arrived to our airbnb. When we planned our trip we had no agenda other than to be located close enough to the bus or train to be able to get around the city, and it was perfect. The apartment was clean, the bed comfy and the set up perfect for the two of us. We were at the prospect of utilizing the hot tub, but it was very warm when we visited so we didn't get to take advantage of that perk. Check in and out process was smooth and Ken was great. He was knowledgable about the area and recommended a great place for dinner and live music. We had a great time!
I really enjoyed staying in this studio space. The studio was very spacious for my friend and I -- with a comfy bed, awesome natural light and a wonderful bathroom. It was also so great to have a secured parking space in the city and it was really easy to get to downtown and other sites in the area (in general, almost everything we went to was a 15-20 minute drive from this rental). Ken was super responsive and very nice and friendly when I met him briefly in person!
Lovely, clean and the hot tub was delightful. The barbecue joint at the bottom of the hill is amazing. A few more towels would have been nice, but since the host wasn't nearby, we didn't ask.
Ken was a great host and the studio was clean, cozy and comfortable. The hot water runs out very quickly so plan extra time for showering and getting ready of more than 1 person needs it. No actual cooking can be done but you can ask to use the kitchen in the main house if you want to cook. You can warm stuff up in the studio. The location was great and only about 15 minutes to downtown. I would stay here again if traveling to Portland.
Ken's place was great, plenty of space, even a garage park! Very close to the city making it easy to get in for work each day. Super comfy bed as well.
