We stayed at The artist's studio for seven nights In May. Ken was a great host, very helpful, lent us his bikes even, and made himself very available whenever.
The studio was clean, with plenty of towels and a supercomfy bed!
The location is quiet and beautiful, and the bus going downtown is quick and on time. A nice park to go jogging in just a few blocks away.
Would definitely stay here again!
Excellent place, in excellent clean condition. Lovely neighbourhood with gorgeous flowers and foliage. Beautiful visit --- thanks!
Ken was an awesome host. He was able to have our room ready early for us. The Same evening we arrived in town we got engaged on the dinner cruise. The studio is quite spacious. It was nice that we parked in the garage which is under the studio. With the off and on rain it was nice to not get wet. The shower was pleasent, but it is meant for quick showers. I'm a 20 minute shower kind of girl. So just a heads up. The little stove was handy for heating the tea kettle. The house is fairly close to downtown. Maybe a 10 minute drive. We truly enjoyed our stay in the artist studio. I enjoyed the paintings and all of the space. The bed was soft and comfortable. The fridge came in handy. Ken checked in on us and was kind to keep us posted about when he wouldn't be home. Lastly the hot tub was amazing. Nothing is more awesome than sitting in the hot tub in the rain. I would definitely recommend staying in the artist studio and I would definitely recommend Ken as a host.
Our stay in the artists studio was fabulous! Ken was inviting and very helpful. The apartment was clean and had all the amenities I would have expected! We will definitely look here again when we travel to Portland in the future.
I really enjoyed my stay. The studio was larger than I expected and had everything I wanted in a place for a weekend trip.
Ken provided a great little studio for my boyfriend and I. It was our first trip to Portland so we were always out and about, but after a long day exploring it was great to be able to head back and unwind. We made some delicious steaks on the barbecue and had ourselves an early morning soak in the hot tub ( two awesome features). Ken is super easy going and friendly. His welcoming nature made our first airbnb adventure a smooth and comfortable sailing. I would love to stay with him again and I recommend his artistic studio to anyone looking to stay in Portland! Thanks Ken!
Sam and I were moving to Portland and were having trouble trying to find temporary housing that would allow us and our 3 little doggies to stay. Ken was kind enough to allow us to stay in his Artist's suite during our transition. Ken is a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome. His property is beautiful and comfortable with all of the conveniences of the city at your doorstep. We can't say enough good things about our time at the Artist's Suite. Highly recommended!!!
Ken's place is a very cute studio apartment above the garage next his main house. The place was clean and well decorated, and Ken and his associates responded promptly to all our questions during the trip.
We didn't know Portland very well before our stay, so therefor we did not understand how far from the downtown the place was. Be prepared to drive a minimum of 15 minutes to most destinations in the city. Also, the Kitchenette is only outfitted for the reheating and refrigeration of prepared food, this is not a set-up that allows one to cook full meals. We did, however, enjoy making some delicious salads during our stay. My only other disappointment was that the internet is so slow that we couldn't even use it. I guess the router is in the main house and the signal only reaches the studio occasionally.
All in all we enjoyed our stay, this is a great getaway for a couple or single person who wants a quiet place outside the city. The neighborhood is very pretty, and I enjoyed my morning meditations sitting in the small garden behind the garage. Thanks!
Ken was super helpful and so accomodating. The studio was adorable and in a very quiet neighborhood. I would definitely come back!
We loved the place it was vary clean and good thank you ken great place to stay
