The space
Two hours from Medan 1,400 metres above sea level, to the plantation village of "Wake Up Thousand Mountain", (Silimakuta) Seribudolok and of-f the-beaten- path to a real traditional Batak village homestay.

Mama Girsang is ancestral queen of Batak kings and warriors. She will welcome you into her very clean home, the nicest and newest house in the village, with pride of ownership offering an authentic clean and safe environment and insight into agricultural Batak village life today. You will have your own private bedroom with new double bed.

Your stay includes daily breakfast for 2 persons and you can order additional meals, lunch and dinner for Rp 30,000 per person. Very generous healthy and fresh home cooked meals in Batak style. You will not go hungry.

The village in inhabited by 500 people, all farming families working their plantations from sun up to sundown. The house is next to the soccer field, primary school and church. You are invited to visit the school children who will be fascinated by your presence.

Homes in the area are very modest and families live on very low budget and whatever their harvests can bring.
