About This Listing
COMFORTABLE PTE STUDIO, tastefully decorated, own entrance, small kitchen, air con. Opens onto covered terrace surrounded by lush tropical garden. Close to Airport, CBD, shops, restaurants. Substantial Continental breakfast included or self cater.
We are very close to the AIRPORT. Clayfield B and B is a MODERN, PRIVATE STUDIO with your OWN ENTRANCE and air-conditioned for your comfort. A self-serve CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST is included. We hope you will leave feeling as though you have stayed in a home away from home.
Sleeps two adults and a child in a cot.
The Studio is on the lower level of a recently renovated "Queenslander" in one of Brisbane's finest suburbs. Your front door opens onto a covered terrace surrounded by tropical gardens - ideal for breakfast or an afternoon drink. We have pleasant suburban views and our house is in a quiet cul-de-sac where there is plenty of free parking on the street.
The SELF-SERVE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST includes fresh fruit, juice, yoghurt, a choice of cereals, including the delicious Australian-made organic muesli from the exclusive Pink Oranges Company, breads, spreads, teas, coffees etc. Some snacks provided for those arriving on late night flights. For a longer booking, the continental breakfast is provided for the first three mornings only and then it's up to you to do your own thing.
The Studio is comprised of a spacious sitting area which leads into the sleeping area where there's a queen size bed, with soft curtains dividing the two areas. There is a large walk-in wardrobe off the sleeping area. The Studio is situated under the main house, that is, on the ground floor. As my husband and I live upstairs, you may hear the odd foot step or two that accompanies every day living, however, we are acutely mindful of people's privacy, peace and quiet.
We use quality bed linen/pillows on a beautifully comfy mattress.
We can accommodate up two adults and a child who sleeps in a cot (i.e. one queen bed and a cot available). With prior notice, arrangements can be made for provision of the cot. There is a charge of $30 per extra person which is calculated when you book for three people.
The sitting area has a three seater couch and in the corner near the entrance is a well equipped kitchenette (convection microwave, kettle, toaster, sandwich press, bamix for smoothies, electric fry pan) and appropriate utensils, crockery etc. for self-catering if you prefer. Here there is also a small table and chairs. There is a BBQ outside on the terrace for your use only.
There is a private bathroom with separate toilet within the Studio. We provide a hair dryer and Appelles, the luxurious Australian brand of toiletries.
The Studio is equipped with every modern amenity - flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning/heating, fan, etc. This all opens onto the covered leafy terrace and garden where there is the BBQ and more seating for your exclusive use.
The room is not serviced daily, as I believe people generally like to be left to their own devices when on holiday. You can completely relax and treat the area as your own, without being bothered by cleaners coming and going daily. If your stay is a longer one, extra towels will be left and the Studio will be serviced on a weekly basis at a pre-arranged time to suit everyone. Please note as there is no kitchen sink in the Studio, I wash up your kitchen utensils, plates etc daily for you - this works well for everyone.
Check in time is generally after 1.00 p.m. and check out is by 10.00 a.m. However, with prior arrangement, we are very flexible with check in/out times to fit in with International flights etc and are pleased to welcome guests at any time of the day or night, if convenient.

Jenny was an amazing host - gave great instructions on how to find the place, all the way to providing such a cozy, warm environment for her guests.
Thank you Jenny for a lovely stay. So convenient to the airport, restaurants and a nice area to walk around. The Studio accommodation is beautifully presented with an attention to detail rarely seen. A thoroughly pleasant stay and a big thank you to Jenny for those extras that made an overnight stay so comfortable and easy. A++
We had such a lovely stay at Jenny's place. I have never felt so comfortable and the room was beautiful. Jenny was very pleasant and helpful. I definitely recommend this accomodation to anyone who wants a nice quiet, clean and well serviced place to stay!
My experience was excellent. Jenny made every effort to communicate promptly, she ensured the unit was spotless and the products she supplied for breakfast were delicious. She came and introduced herself to me but as I was busy with appointments and social engagements I did not spend a lot of time at the unit during the day. The area is a delightful part of Brisbane, the unit is dark and quiet, perfect for sleeping. Thank you Jenny.
What a wonderful overnight stay we had here! Jenny and family were such accommodating hosts, and really went the extra mile for us.
The neighbourhood is beautiful and very peaceful and it was lovely to walk to the Sunday Markets nearby. The accommodation provided everything and more we could need with a delicious breakfast.
We only wished we could have stayed longer!
Jenny was really helpful when placing the booking and also on the day of arrival
We flew to Brisbane on the day of May 2015 storms and torrential rain. Jenny contacted us just after our arrival to ensure we could easily get into the apartment. Jenny thought about everything she could to make our stay comfortable. The apartment felt more like home with a great supply of goodies for a self-serve breakfast, nice touch of comfort with robes, slippers and high quality bedding, and boutique toiletries in the bathroom.
The apartment is in a great location, very close to the Racecourse Rd, a trendy place with many modern places to eat and within easy walking distance to the famous Portside with boardwalks and ferries connecting with CBD. It is also very close to the Racecourse Markets (every Sunday) and train and bus stops for other city connections.
Jenny thanks for having us and we’ll be back.
