Stay on a craft distillery farm
A working distillery with a cocktail barn, weekend food trucks, and a fire pit in the backyard
Sophie thinks of everything
Guests praise Sophie's thoughtful touches, from a stocked fridge to bathrobes and bath salts
The Cooper's Daughter Distillery Suite is on the second floor of a farmhouse. In the backyard of the airbnb there is a Cocktail Barn & Garden serving hand crafted cocktails, NY wine, beer, and cider and hosting food trucks every Friday-Sunday plus holiday Mondays. Take in the beautiful panoramic views of a creek, waterfall, the red barns, and corn field.
The space
The suite is located on the second floor of the farmhouse and is filled with natural light. The suite has its own private entrance with a private porch.
The breakfast room is equipped with a toaster oven, microwave, coffee pot, tea kettle, and mini fridge. The mini fridge is stocked with natural yogurts, water, sparkling water, organic or local milk, and almond milk. We also provide fruit, granola, organic coffees, and teas.
The bathroom has more than just the standard amenities with both a rainfall shower and a claw-foot tub. We provide bath salts, natural lotion, and makeup removing wipes. Bathrobes can also be found in the closet. This spa-like bathroom is the perfect place to unwind with a book and a cocktail.
If you are 21 and older, we have bottles of our farm-made spirits available for sale. To have a bottle waiting for you upon arrive, send me a message for details.
A local artist, Virginia Cantarella, is featured in every room of the airbnb. She is a nationally recognized illustrator, and has been painting for the last 20 years. She is also included in Cynthia Dantzic's book: 100 New York Artists.
The Suite is located on a property, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. One of two toll houses left in Columbia County is on the property, along with a historical barn. The house itself was lived in by Jacob R. Van Rensselaer, who was a politician, federalist, and commanded troops during the war of 1812. He also had a cooperage and distillery.
We are currently making limited releases of seasonal spirits such as Black Walnut Bourbon, Smoked Maple Bourbon, Cacao Maple Vodka, Black Currant Liqueur, Black Walnut Liqueur, Rhubarb & Honey Vodka, Buddha’s Hand Vodka, and Ramp Vodka.
Guest access
Guests enter through the front door, which faces the main road. The red barns are directly across the road from the entrance.
Other things to note
The suite is kept completely pet free, but we do have two friendly distillery cats and a dog that you might see on the property. Stuart (co-owner and property manager) also lives in the property.
