The Space

A chance to stay in an award-winning legendary LEED Platinum certified home. Design that combines the original Victorian character with hints of contemporary.
Renovated recently. A fully open space with high 12’ ceilings, brick and plaster walls, hardwood and slate flooring, and a functional ethanol fireplace.

Queen size bed, leather sofa and a Mexican-style shower/restroom. Sleeps two, but the open space includes a sofa bed that can sleep two more.

Access to a large patio. A parking spot is included, which is extremely rare in the Plateau neighbourhood. It can avoid a few of the near-inevitable parking tickets that come with parking on the street.

Geothermal heating and cooling, soundproofed, excellent air quality through air-exchanger.

Full kitchen with dishwasher and dinnerware. Large dining area with a table for 6.

Near the Mont-Royal park, restaurants, grocery stores, and public transportation. 5 minute bus ride or Bixi to downtown or McGill University. In Mile-End near St-Laurent, St-Denis, Mont-Royal. Montreal bagels and Schwartz are within walking distance. Mile-End is truly Montreal's coolest neighbourhood.

60 sq m. Or 620 sq. Ft. Parking, heat, hydro, cable and high speed Internet are all included. Strictly non-smoking.

We live in the building, so our service is quick. It would be a pleasure to host you,
Sophie and Emmanuel

  • My husband and I stayed for a few days at this lovely place. It is just as it looks in the pictures. Great decor, super spacious and very comfortable. It had everything we needed and more. The hosts were friendly and we felt very comfortable there. There is so much to do in the area, and it was great that we could park our car and leave it. Our only complaint was that we were too hot most of the time. But we would definitely chose this place to stay again at a cooler time of year.

  • Emmanuel and Sophie were great hosts! It was easy and convenient to get in and out their wonderful studio. It was cozy, clean, and in a great neighborhood. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to visit Montreal to stay here! Thanks for your hospitality!

  • Emmanuel and Sophie were great hosts! The studio was beautiful and exactly how it is portrayed in the posting. We loved the neighborhood - very hip and friendly. We are vegan which can be tricky when traveling, but there were a lot of restaurants to choose from within a few blocks. We would go back in a heartbeat :)

  • Great location and a really nice studio apartment. Felt at home right away- everything one needs has been provided by the very kind and helpful hosts Emmanuel and Sophie. Whether you are in Montreal for the first time or a return visitor you could not ask for more. Lots to see and do in the area and transit options very close. Like to eat out? Lots of choices in close proximity. Thanks for a great visit!

  • We enjoyed our stay at the eco-studio in Mile End - which was a wonderfully artsy, multicultural area of Montreal. Great cafes, such as Patisserie La Ruche (croissants, breads, salads, great coffee), are within easy walking distance, as is the Mont Royal park - where one can get a magnificent view over the city.

The eco-studio space was light, and very contemporary but as Australians, we were way too warm much of the time - so remember to ask, if need, how to open a window (not self evident). The apartment has all the modern conveniences one needs. The Kaza Maza restaurant next door served fabulous Syrian food and we enjoyed both eating in and taking out.

Good value, great area. Easy distance to the city and Gare Central (train station.)

  • Nice loft style apt, quite, even though on a large avenue. Decor is simple and of good taste. Some points to know: fireplace is using ethanol, not wood. The balcony is not directly in the appt, you need to go out to go on it. Also, better to be very very quite guests as just having some friends at dinner with not even music could disturb our neighbours at the other floors.

  • Our hosts were very attentive, informative and helpful. And just plain nice. The apartment is exactly what it says: very pleasant and well furnished. The location is perfect. We give our highest recommendation and send our thanks!

  • This was my first Air BnB experience and I really couldn't ask for a better one. My husband and I had a wonderful time staying in Emmanuel and Sofie's beautiful loft. It was very cold when we visited Montreal and the apartment was warm, inviting and most importantly, quiet. The bed was large and comfortable it made us realize we need a new one in our home! Loved the bathroom as well. There is a heated floor in the kitchen and bathroom which was great in the morning. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and pans and we cooked quite a bit to save money. There are two grocery stores very close by. Emmanuel and Sofie live in the building too and they were very helpful getting us settled in and recommending places to go. The neighborhood is very walkable with a lot of really good restaurants, bars and shops nearby. People told us the Metro was a little far, but it was a short 10 minute walk through the neighborhood, which we enjoyed. Hopefully, we will get to visit this super cool city during the warmer months. I would definitely stay here again.
