Interaction with Guests
We live in the unit just above, so we are just a doorknock away!
Mile-End is definitely a hotspot in Montreal. Everything and anything is available on foot. Restaurants, cafés, bakeries (croissants, baguettes, bagels), groceries, nightlife, galleries.. The Mont-Royal is less than a block away, so strolls or x-country skiing in the forest can be a daily routine. Street festivals and the big festivals are always taking place close by.
Cars aren't exactly compatible with city living, so they are best left at the parking spot provided. The 80 bus can get downtown in 10 minutes and goes by at least every 10 (website hidden)-Royal metro is a 20 minute walk down lively Mt-Royal ave. Bixi bikes are bountiful in the vicinity, and are a very pleasant and affordable way to get around.
Other Things to Note
If you are looking for the neighbourhood that's happening in Montreal, this is it !
Strictly non-smoking, and we ask that guests take their shoes off at the entrance in order to ensure cleanliness and better air quality in the studio.
Great Studio. Super clean and exactly as advertised. Centrally located by mount royale and for going out to great restaurants. Being able to park in Montreal for free was a big added benefit as street parking in the city is confusing and parking in a lot normally costs about $20 a day. Also, the hosts were extremely responsive, accommodating to our needs to check in at a time other than what was stated and considerately left many different suggestions for restaurants to visit. We visited two of the suggested restaurants and were extremely pleased.
A really beautiful apartment in a great neighbourhood of Montreal. Lots of useful suggestions for places nearby as well, so we had a great time!
Our stay was perfect! From the warm and welcoming host, to the clean and comfortable accommodations. Sophie also provided excellent local recommendations for food and drink.
The space is completely beautiful. Perfect location and fantastic hosts. We spent our evenings cooking light meals and walked everywhere we wanted to go in the area. The house is a quiet and very romantic space :) next time we are in Montreal, fingers crossed the space is available!
We had a great time staying at this studio apartment. The location is fantastic. A great neighbourhood close to many good restaurants and within walking distance (or a short drive/cab ride) to tourist spots such as Old Montreal. The owners live upstairs and were very responsive to our needs, I think the renovations were done by them and it was like a home away from home for us. A parking spot is available in the backyard, which is an asset for the downtown location. The unit itself was clean. It was spacious and included a kitchenette, dining room area, queen bed and 2 couches, one of which we used for sleeping. The only thing we didn’t love was the Mexican shower (just a personal preference). The noise from the nearby traffic/neighbourhood was a little loud, but a real thrill if you are not used to the city. If you are a light sleeper, this may be a problem but if you are used to downtown living, it should be fine. Overall, we were very happy with this spot and would return.
Great place in a cool neighborhood. Apt. was super clean and very comfortable. Sophie came by shortly after I got there to make sure I had everything I needed. They were great hosts. I would totally stay here again.
