Simple and cozy room, located at the top of a typical Parisian building, close to the metro, the market and all the shops, and ten minutes from the Sacré Coeur, the highest point of Montmartre, and the famous flea-marlet, the Puces de Saint Ouen.
I offer you to stay at my place when I am not home. My room is located behind the butte Montmartre, 10 minutes from Sacré-Coeur and 2 minutes from the metro line 4 that crosses Paris from North to South, very practical to go everywhere. A lot of cheap supermarkets in the neighborhood, and the market on the boulevard takes place every tuesday, friday and sunday.
Here you'll have your own private room. At the opposite side of the apartment there is an other room occupied by Aude, my roommate.
There is a 2 places bed, a table and some space to put your stuff. It is for 2 people maximum!
The apartment is very practical so you can freely access the bathroom and the kitchen, where you can use anything you want, like the washing-machine or the hair dryer. You also have a free Wifi access (possibly Ethernet if needed).
There is a small elevator like everywhere in old parisian buildings, very typical : don't be afraid, it works fine!
Clean sheets and towels are at disposal.
Please don't forget that this is no hostel but a room at somebody's place, thank you!
Metro: line 4 and 12
Bus: line (phone number hidden)
- you have your own key so you can get in and out any time you want, without needing the door codes.
- you can use anything you need for cooking in the kitchen, if you stay a few days and want to bring your own food
- you can clean your clothes using the washing machine. Sometimes, drying can take one or two days, depending on the weather outside. But there is a laundry down the street where you can dry your clothes quickly (1 euro for 10 minutes).
Had a great stay! Didn't get to interact with the host much as she had a very busy work schedule but we felt super welcomed and right at home!she was super accomdating to any needs we had and Her cat was adorable and we loved snuggle time with him haha. The elevator was an experience!!! But we loved it and it's a great little apartment. A street away from the metro and easy to get around, right near the sacre cour church and montmartre.... Loved our stay in Paris. Would highly recommend :)!
My friend and I had a very nice stay at Aurélien & Aude's apt. It is very conveniently situated a few minutes walking distance to Sacre Coeur and Montmatre and to Metro and train stations. The room was nice and comfortable and they were very nice hosts.
We had a great experience in this lovely Parisian Apt. Aude and Aurelien's instructions to receive the keys were precise and exact.
It was very close to the metro in a safe neighbourhood. We first met Aude who was very welcoming and nice. We were able to cook and make our own meals. They have a cute and friendly cat named Agar. Their wifi is not very good so if you need to get work done, it may be difficult. On the last day we met Aurelien and he was very friendly. We felt like we received a true Parisian experience while staying in this apt. We would definitely stay here again and we recommend it to you.
The flat is is small, but very cozy. There is everything you need and Aude is a nice and helpful host! The lift is weird, but it works perfectly. I enjoyed my stay there!
My sister and I stayed in Aurélien's place for 3 nights. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend staying here!
Aurélien seemed very friendly, but he doesn't live here. You'll be sharing the apartment with Aude, which, in our case, did not work well at all.
Aude made us feel very unwelcome and my sister and I had quite an unpleasant last day here. Aude seems to be a very emotional person, and was not in a good mood while we were there. She therefore ended up being quite rude to us (and to our parents who were visiting us for breakfast). She called us loud (elephants, to be specific), because we had a shower at 8am (to be expected from people visiting a city) and the floorboards were creaky. She also stormed into our room on the last day at 8:30am to rip the sheets off our bed - not sure what would have happened if we did want to sleep in that morning - while calling us impolite...
These are just some samples from our experience. Aude managed to make us feel this uncomfortable that we left early on the last day and did not store our bags there; instead we paid to store them at the train station.
In addition, the internet connection is quite poor - often not working, and when it worked it was very slow. For travellers relying on the internet (like us), not good.
Other than that, the flat is in a good location close to the metro and 10min from Sacre Coeur. If you're a mousy-quiet person who is mostly out of the house, then it might be ok...
Well... what I heard from Aude, my roommate, is that your parents not only came once for breakfast, but a few times, and as I told you this room is not made for more than 2 people. You told me about your sister, not your parents coming. This apartment is not that big, as you noticed, sharing it even for breakfasts or lunches with 4 other people is exactly what upset Aude. And I can understand that.
Sorry that the feeling was not good between you, it happens sometimes..
The reservation was canceled 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
You're welcome ! My roommate - Aude - and I hope that you will have a great stay and leave with wonderful memories about France!
