Our neighbourhood is very close to Liberty Village, and along Queen St West. We are in Parkdale, also known as Little Tibet. It's an artsy, eclectic neighbourhood, lots of antique and vintage shops, and around the corner from Roncesvalles Village. We are also about 5 minutes from Lake Ontario, lovely for a stroll; and not too far from High Park - one of Toronto's biggest parks.
Our house is a large Victorian built around 1900. It has beautiful hardwood flooring and unique features. They don't build houses like this any more!

I would like to highly recommend anyone visiting Toronto to stay at the Cross family's beautiful comfortable home conveniently located right off the King St. street car in Parkdale. Its just minutes to anywhere in the city. Just as the picture on the profile photo says this is a really wonderful family.I stayed with them for a month as I was away from home studying, Pauline and Jeff welcomed me home each night and made sure I had breakfast in the morning.plenty of warm blankets and coffee for the road. Always
a cheer and encouragement as I explored Toronto and missed my wife. It felt more like I was staying with an Aunt and Uncle then anything else. They treated me like I was part of the family like they knew me forever! And forever they gained a friend south of the border, thats a pretty good way to live your life eh! Please accept my recommendation for the Elliott house.
I enjoyed my stay at the Elliott House. I found especially tranquility after a day of work.
Pauline is a very welcoming hostess, her home is warm and comfortable, I felt like going home.
Without any hesitation, I would return.
Location was perfect for us (in a fairly quiet area) but very easy to get around via cable car, walk, drive and was an easy access from freeway. Room was very large and comfortable. House was homey, breakfast was enjoyable with other guests. Would have liked the bathroom on the same floor, but it was still very comfortable stay. Pauline and Jeff were very welcoming, friendly, helpful and hospitable. Diane & Mike
Pauline found us a very nice room down the street after our reservation was coincided with an unforeseen booking. Our hosts Patricia and her husband were very warm and welcoming and contributed to the loveliness of our short stay in Toronto. Thanks so much to all!
Pauline was a great host and really made us feel welcome. Her house is very spacious and has a lot of character. Would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to Toronto. .
We had a great time at Pauline's place. She was very positive bright person who told us many fun stories. I loved the coffee machine which can make cappuchino. There were pretty various choices for breakfast. The bathroom and the bedroom was clean. It was nice that we had a tv in our room.
Pauline was an amazing hostess
She really made my friends and I feel at home and she was extremely helpful with directions to places we wanted to visit.
I loved that there were maps in the rooms and a small basket of treats on our arrival. The bathroom was beautiful and very clean, just like our room.
The house was located right next to the streetcar that takes you right downtown.
I loved staying there so much last weekend, I plan on trying to go back next week with a friend.
Money well spent I would say.
We arrived around dinnertime so Pauline was out, but she let us know her husband Jeff would be there to let us in. He gave us a warm welcome, a quick tour of the beautiful house, keys and helped us beat some rush-hour traffic to our first stop in the city. Toronto's website does make getting a visitor parking permit easy, but check with Pauline beforehand since they often have a spot! The serve-yourself breakfast was great- lots of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, toast and a fast coffee machine. We were just steps from Queen St West, which is a perfect springboard to downtown and had a couple fun bars to wind down at the end of the day (which was awesome because again, steps away!) The room was large, sunny and clean, with a comfy bed and lots of reading about Toronto. I can definitely see the room getting hot in the summer, so keep the curtain shut during the day! We were lucky to find Pauline and Jeff on our last morning for breakfast (french toast, mmm...) and shared stories and laughs. It was a joy to stay at their house and we'd love to come back!
The reservation was canceled 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Lovely house, lovely family, great experience. We really enjoyed staying in the Elliott house. Pauline and Jeff were extremely helpfull and provided us with everything we neeeded. Plus they were great with our cats too :)
