The Space

This is a delightful apartment in one of the best locations in Paris.

It is very central, just a five minute walk to
the Seine river,
Tuileries gardens,
The Louvre museum
and the d'Orsay museum,
just behind the fashionable Saint-Germain-des-Près
the Bonmarché.
Saint Michel,
Chatelet,
Opera,
Bastille,
Marais,
Rodin museum,
Maillol museum,
Beaux Arts School,
Luxembourg park,
Notre Dame,
Beaubourg,
and more.

All of these locations can easily be reached on foot! Or a short bus or metro ride, or using the Velib (the Paris bicycle rental scheme). Most visitors will enjoy walking, just take your map and go! In a few minutes you are outside the pyramid of the Louvre museum.

If you want to go further afield
There are plenty of buses and metro stations with easy connections for routes across Paris.

The closest tube is line 12, Rue du Bac which could take you to Sacré Coeur in 15 min or take bus 95 if you prefer. All very direct.

At Musée d'Orsey station there is the RER express train for a fast route to monuments like the Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elisées.

You can also get line 1 at Tuileries or line 1 and 7 at Palais Royal Musée du Louvre metro station

or line 4 at Saint Germains Des Près - all very easy and nearby!

I love this area because it is central and very safe.

It is just behind the former residence of the famous French singer Serge Gainsbourg. There are small supermarkets, grocery shops, bakers and confectioners in the surrounding streets and plenty of cafes restaurants and boutiques.

The studio is 50m2 with one open double bedroom.

There is also a sofa bed that can be made up for two people and a folding mattress, for an extra person.

The heating is a traditional gas and works well.

A fine bathroom with WC, shower and a bath (bath is not huge, but is very nice).
The shower size is quite confortable.

There is separate kitchen, well equipped with an oven, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and juicer! Please, clean them properly before leaving.

It is a 2nd floor apartment and the building has a small modern elevator which stops on a landing mid way between each floor. The building is quite traditional and with white walls and wooden beams and you may have to negotiate a few steps with your luggage to reach your door.

The bed is is lower than normal (not on the floor) but still confortable. Note please that the bedroom is not completely closed. It is a loft style appartment so the main bed is not separated from the living room. Size of the bed 140X200

The sofa bed is smaller size and mattress thiner but people who had slept in it found it confortable.

There is an extra folding mattress that we can put on the floor. Adult or children could sleep in it.

You have a folding table with four chairs (2 folding) and full length mirror to dress up properly. There is Wifi Internet access, washing machine a big fridge and storage space.

Voilà, it is more or less everything. Look forward to hear from you!

  • We (6 ladies/girls between 13 and 44) had a great 3 nights/4 days stay in Kerenor's fabulous loft apartment. Everything was very clean and tidy and you immediately felt at home. The apartment is located in the most perfect place, just around the corner from the Louvre and the Tuilleries, near a lot of nice cafés and brasseries. Kerenor was extremely helpful, especially when we we wanted to leave our luggage a little longer at the apartment on the last day. Overall an absolute recommendation from us 6!

  • Our stay in this loft was wonderful in every way. It is a comfortable spacious place, clean and practical. The bathroom ans closet space was perfect for us-5 sisters! The kitchen is a bit small for large cooking but perfect for fixing breakfast ans simple lunches. The location could not be better, and Kerenor was easily accessible and very kind.

  • Kereror our host was wonderful. She lives in the same same building as the flat and was most helpful to us. When my wife was ill, she found a fan and brought it to our room. She speaks perfect English.
The French neighborhood was very safe and absolutely charming. Antique shops everywhere, 200 yards from the front gate to the Louvre, many charming sidewalk cafe restaurants all within a short walk. You really get a feel for the French Paris life in that neighborhood. I only remeber a little French from 30 years ago in school but did great. Everyone is helpful and all the restaurants have English menu's available. I highly recommend it and would come back again and stay at the same wonderful flat with my wife and 2 teenage daughters.

  • This apartment is in a great location for walking to many of the sights and museums of Paris. There are many wonderful shops, galleries and restaurants in the neighborhood. My wife and I stayed here with 3 college age kids. The apartment was a little tight on space with 5 people and lacks a little in terms of privacy with only a screen to block off the main sleeping area from the living room, but we had no problem with that at all.

Kerenor was wonderful to deal with. She took us through the apartment and gave us detailed directions to restaurants and sites we wanted to see. She was always available whenever we contacted her prior to our arrival and while we were there. We would definitely stay here again.

  • The experience with host was fine. The neighborhood and its convenience was great. The apartment was somewhat smaller than we expected from the listing (wide angle pix make it look bigger). But overall it was fine.

  • This apartment is lovely and in a great area. Just a short walk to The Louvre and the Musee D'Orsay as well as lots of antique shops and restaurants. I was with my mother and her friend for 9 nights. Kerenor was very helpful when we needed anything. The bed and couch were fine for sleeping. I'd definitely stay here again!

  • The room is comfortable for 4 people. The comfort of the bed and sitting/sleeping on the sofa bed is moderate. We wanted to store our luggage for a few hours before check in and after check-out. Afterwards we understood that this not possible, except in the room itself, which needs to be vaccant for that. Check Kerenor in advance.

    Response from Kerenor:

I understand your wish but it is not an hotel and i cannot invent a luggage storage in the building. It is forbiden and there is no space for that. When possible i arrange with people to leave their luggages longer but it is always difficult for me to get organised which often people do not think about. I understand people want to arrive the earliest anf leave the latest without thinking it takes time to clean the space etc. It is just something to understand. Best wishes

  • We stayed in this beautiful apartment for three days; the location is beautiful, in the middle of Saint German des Pres, a beautiful neighbourhood close to the major attractions of the city. Kerenor gave us a warm welcome in her house, and was very kind providing all we needed. We strongly recommend this apartment for a nice stay in Paris
