I have an apartment for 1 or 2 persons located only 6 km from the city centre of Oslo (it takes only 15 minutes by Metro or bus). Only 5 minutes walking to the great lake Sognsvann (bathing, sports, great outdoors) and the Norwegian University of Sports (NIH). To the Metro station it does not take more than 3 minutes (walking).
There are almost no traffic outside in the street. If you have a car, you can park for free right outside.
1 bedroom/living room, 1 kitchen, 1 (website hidden) and Internet (free). Nice garden! Washing machine etc. on my request.
Towels, linen and duvets are also included in the price.
Other services can be offered on request!
If you need someone who can come to the rescue when you're lost, well this is your man! I thought I had everything under control, but then got off the wrong side of the train, etc etc. Needless to say, he came and got me!
He also helped me with tips and info about Oslo which I had difficulty finding on the net.
Small apartment with a curtain separating the bed but it was comfortable and spotlessly clean! Great for one person, fine for two.
Close to a grocery shop and another cheaper grocery shop not too far away either.
Station to town was in between these shops.
Forest - what can I say. Breath taking and only steps away.
Only thing missing was a toaster but microwave, stove-top, decent sized fridge, etc etc. Perfect.
I may be back but Norway is probably the most expensive Scandinavian country - but that's not Jorgen's fault.
Thanks for everything Jorgen and enjoy the bottle red from Aus!
PS: Jorgen's name includes a "/" through the "o" but I'm typing on an English keyboard! ;-p
Jørgen kindly picked my at the Sognsvan metro station, two minutes from his apartment (walking slowly). This was my first time in Oslo. He has been extremely amicable, friendly and provided useful recommendations. He provided me with all the information that I needed in order to facilitate my 10 days stay. The apartment was very comfortable and conveniently close, by metro, to Oslo's city center and Oslo's university. There is a food market one minute away. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. I would be very glad to stay there again in a future visit to Oslo, meet Jørgen again -- or welcome him to Montreal. This was a very pleasant experience.
Great apartment. Fantastic location so close to Maridalen but also very easy to reach the city centre. Jørgen was an excellent host, very helpful and friendly. I happly recommend.
Jorgen was very nice to take me from the closest station and to explain how to use TV, internet, the kitchen and anything else in the flat. This was a very useful welcome as I was there on my own for a few days. The flat is very comfortable, close to the metro and in a very green and nice area.
Good, we got off to a shakey start with lack of communication, just when we were to arrive. But made the bed and had to borrow his lap top as wifi did not work
Great Host: sympathetic and helpful! We were provided with everything we needed. The place was cosy, nice and very clean. We highly recommend this offert.
