This was our first experience with Airbnb and we were impressed. Lisa greeted us Immediately and answered all our questions. She made sure that we had the necessary contact information if we had further questions. The room and amenities were as described and the breakfast was very good and much appreciated.
Thank you for hosting us in your home, which is very beautiful.
I really enjoyed my stay at Lisa's house. Everything was exactly as advertised. I was in town for an event and Lisa's accommodation and the quiet neighborhood was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the event. Communication with Lisa was very clear, the room was very clean and I always managed to grab a bowl of Lisa's great homemade granola on my way out, each morning. I highly recommend!
Staying at Lisa's house was such a great experience. Lisa pays a lot of attention to details. When we arrived, there were little packets of mixed nuts on the dresser near our beds, sample toiletries, etc. Lisa is a very pleasant person to talk to, and she is good at just letting you be. Her house is beautiful. I loved all the art she has on her walls. There are lots of windows in the main room (and plenty of natural light in the listed room), and plenty of places to lounge around in your own space. The breakfast that Lisa provides is top notch, but of course it is a 'serve yourself' situation. I thought it was so nice that she had *multiple* methods of making coffee available to guests. Her kitchen is the sort of kitchen that I aspire to owning one day. Also we had no trouble walking from her house to downtown--it is about 1.3 miles of sidewalks through a nice neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again.
Lisa is a wonderful host! We had a great time in Ann Arbor and would love to come back. Everything is exactly as seen and actually even better in person. Lisa left very straightforward instructions on how to get in and instructions were laid out, so there was no need for additional questions. In addition, Lisa makes great granola and homemade yogurt.
Lisa's place is a wonderful home from home. I stayed here for a month in Nov 2014 and was very comfortable for the entirety of my visit (including when the polar vortex came to town!). The house is full of nice people, including other guests passing through. But at the same time there's definitely plenty of space for everyone and there's privacy as well as a friendly atmosphere. Massive kitchen and really nice bathroom, easy laundry machines that helps when you're staying more than a few days. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet and very pleasant. Easy 20 min walk to downtown Ann Arbor.
Overall a perfect place to stay and I'd love to stay at Lisa's place if I have the good fortune to visit Ann Arbor again.
Lisa was a very hospitable host. The room was comfortable, and the house was very nice. We really enjoyed the homemade granola for breakfast.

About the Host, Lisa
I have lived in Ann Arbor for the last 30 years, and love my town. I have a beautiful, historic house on the old west side, a 20 minute stroll to downtown and to Michigan Stadium. I am a 5 minute walk to the Ann Arbor city bus stop. My rooms are cozy, private and very comfortable. I am LGBT friendly and want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome in my home. I offer coffee, tea and homemade granola with fruit and yogurt for your breakfast. My home vibe is casual, friendly and easy-going. I currently have two rooms available. Both have their own private bathroom, with bathtub and shower. There is free wifi and laundry, a lovely backyard with table and chairs, a hammock and a gas grill . I also have bicycles you can use. Eberwhite woods is right next door, which is a nice place for a walk. In the cool weather, I always have a fire going in the living room, which you will have full access to. You can also have access to a fridge for your food, and if you want to cook up something, that's fine too. I work as a school social worker in the county juvenile jail. I study and practice Nonviolent Communication, and I run a non profit organization called Selma Cafe that supports local food initiatives and sustainable agriculture. I teach yoga, and I love to knit, garden, cook, kayak, swim, and in the winter, cross country ski. I speak a little Spanish, I love to travel, and I enjoy hosting guests in my home. I look forward to connecting with you.
