  • Lisa a very good host, very attentive, cordial and friendly, and willing to share tips to make your stay in the city as pleasant as possible.

The house very nice, comfortable, clean, with all amenities and with a gorgeous garden and patio. It's located in close to the city, easy to find and with plenty of nearby places to eat or grab a drink.. Definitely a highly recommended for a pleasant holiday.

  • I stayed with Lisa for a week with my 8 year old daughter. It was our last moment of our 20 month stay in the United States. I cannot explain how I appreciate Lisa. She was the most fabulous host ever. We were completely relaxed with her. During our stay we were very busy with farewell parties and preparation for the international moving and also emotionally tired because we had to say good bye to many friends. But conversations with Lisa always eased our mind. We really had nice, cozy, comfortable time with her. My daughter was enjoying play ukulele, reading books, doing her homework, singing and dancing in her living room. We enjoyed cooking in her beautiful kitchen and talking in front of the fire place with our friends. We were most at home. When I come back to Ann Arbor, I definitely come back to her place. Actually I am already planning to do it. And next time, I would like to stay more time at her place. See you soon, Lisa!

thank you Mariko! I look forward to seeing you next time!

  • Lisa's home was perfect for my grad school visit. This was my first Airbnb experience, and I admit I was really nervous, but Lisa made me feel right at home. Her house is gorgeous and so welcoming. Lisa's hospitality is better than a hotel because she is attentive, informative, and extremely easy-going. I really felt like I was at home the entire time (can I stress this enough?). What was most important to me was location, location, and location. Lisa's house is a close walk to the downtown area. One night I couldn't get a cab, and I was really unsure about walking back, but it was a beautiful stroll that did not exhaust me in the least. If you aren't much of a walker, cab rides from town are under $10 using Yellow Car and on Saturdays Blue Cab will take you anywhere for a flat rate of $5 (cash only). If you are looking for a clean, spacious, comfortable get-away in Ann Arbor, I cannot stress enough how lovely and hospitable Lisa and her home really are.

  • The location of Lisa's house offered so many wonderful things within an enjoyable walking distance for me, and my mother and I felt comforted and inspired by the space inside the house and our host. We were so joyed to have the experience of staying here and connecting with Lisa for a day!

  • My wife and I stayed 2 nights at Lisa's place. She has a very comfortable and clean place. She is very helpful and we found the granola for breakfast very delicious.

  • Lisa's house was homely, clean and comfortable. We had a good sized room with two single beds and a private bathroom. In the morning Lisa had made us fresh granola with nuts that was delicious and still warm in the oven. There was fruit and coffee too. Lisa was very nice, helpful and enjoyable company. She even gave us a ride to the train station when we were heading back to Chicago.

    Thanks you Lisa.

  • Lisa has a very nice home, in a lovely neighbourhood - which was an easy walk from all of the shops/restaurants downtown. We enjoyed our short stay, and Lisa made us feel completely comfortable and we were easily able to come and go as we pleased. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in Ann Arbor!

  • 5 stars! The entire experience was completely flawless. The communication with Lisa was stellar. We did not get to meet her but plan to when we come back to Ann Arbor on our yearly adventure. She had us set up with excellent directions on how the whole process works and her house mate was just as helpful. The location is near just about everything we do in this lovely city. Lisa's home is cozy and full of character. The kitchen, oh goodness, just beautiful. The homemade granola and access to coffee and teas just add to the experience.

  • Lisa’s house is an excellent place to stay while visiting Ann Arbor. The bedroom and bathroom are nicely furnished and clean and well-stocked with ample sheets, pillows, blankets, towels, bath soap, a hair dryer and iron – and even a Ghirardelli chocolate bedside!! The spacious house is situated in a quiet, safe residential neighborhood about a mile from downtown Ann Arbor and the UM campus (which would be a pleasant walk in good weather). There is plenty of parking and access to the house is easy and safe. Lisa is a great host and very knowledgeable about Ann Arbor and the surrounding area. In my case I visited during the Holiday season. Lisa graciously welcomed me to a gathering of friends in her home that turned out to be one of the high points of my visit (and she is a great cook!!). (BTW – I need to mention – I am Judy’s partner Marty and ended up traveling alone during the Holiday season.) Bottom line -- I would highly recommend staying at Lisa’s house to anyone who wants a great place to stay in Ann Arbor.

  • Staying with Lisa during our daughter's hip surgery and rehab at U of M was a great call! Her kitchen is gigantic, and was available for us to use at all hours. The living room with wood burning stove was a real highlight. Loved making fires day and night and our daughter recovered nicely on the sofa in such a cozy and welcoming environment. This was my first air bnb exposure and it was a good one! Nice other guests as well!
    Thanks, Lisa!! Lou and family

my day job is school social worker in the county juvenile detention center. I also run a weekly local food breakfast party called Selma Cafe, and I teach Kripalu Yoga.
I have lived in Ann Arbor for the last 30 years, and love my town. I have a beautiful, historic house on the old west side, a 20 minute stroll to downtown and to Michigan Stadium. I am a 5 minute walk to the Ann Arbor city bus stop. My rooms are cozy, private and very comfortable. I am LGBT friendly and want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome in my home. I offer coffee, tea and homemade granola with fruit and yogurt for your breakfast. My home is super cozy and easy going. I currently have two rooms available. Both have their own private bathroom, with bathtub and shower. There is free wifi and laundry, a lovely backyard with table and chairs, hammock and a fire pit. Eberwhite woods is right next door, which is a nice place for a walk. In the cool weather, I always have a fire going in the living room, which you will have full access to. You can also have access to a fridge for your food, and if you want to cook up something, that's fine too. I work as a school social worker in the county juvenile jail. I run a non profit organization called Selma Cafe that supports local food initiatives and sustainable agriculture. I teach yoga, and I love to knit, garden, cook, kayak, swim, and in the winter, cross country ski. I speak a little Spanish, I love to travel, and I enjoy hosting guests in my home. I look forward to connecting with you.
