Lisa was a great host. Her house is so charming and well kept. Though I was only there for a few nights I felt comfortable and right at home. It was convenient to downtown and the college area. The added touches of were what made the experience special, like the included breakfast and personal details. I would definitely stay again if I were in the area.
Lovely home in a great neighborhood, loved walking daily to downtown! Lisa and her daughter were very open and friendly and were just the sweetest to my 3 year old daughter. Great stay! Recommended.
My sister and I had a lovely stay at Lisa's warm and spacious home in a quiet, beautiful Ann Arbor neighborhood. The room was as described and immaculate, as was the bathroom, and there was a small plate of treats to greet us. Great coffee, granola, and a delicious Zingerman's bread were provided in the mornings.
The room with adjacent bathroom was wonderful: clean, well decorated, and very comfortable - exactly as pictured. We appreciated the little touches, like new toiletries and packets of nuts that Lisa left out for us. And the house and garden were beautiful - we saw our first northern cardinals right outside the bedroom window!
Lisa has a wonderful home! It's in a great location and has a wonderful back yard. Lisa herself was extremely welcoming and had the best recommendations for dinner. It was a busy week for her but she still made us feel welcome. If you find yourself in Ann Arbor for a few days and want to stay somewhere close to town but still get to know the community, stay here. Bonus: Breakfast is included!
I was completely pleased with my accommodations. I don't have a single negative to mention. I really relished the privacy the suite style set up provided.
I highly recommend staying with Lisa while visiting Ann Arbor.
I was greeted by a warm welcoming note on the front door when I first arrived. The room is so comfortable which allows me to rest for my hectic trip. Lisa prepares the best homemade granola I ever had before and she always greet me with a smile and regards.

I have lived in Ann Arbor for the last 30 years, and love my town. I have a beautiful, historic house on the old west side, a 20 minute stroll to downtown and to Michigan Stadium. I am a 5 minute walk to the Ann Arbor city bus stop. My rooms are cozy, private and very comfortable. I am LGBT friendly and want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome in my home. I offer coffee, tea and homemade granola with fruit and yogurt for your breakfast. My home vibe is casual, friendly and easy-going. I currently have two rooms available. Both have their own private bathroom, with bathtub and shower. There is free wifi and laundry, a lovely backyard with table and chairs, a hammock and a gas grill . I also have bicycles you can use. Eberwhite woods is right next door, which is a nice place for a walk. In the cool weather, I always have a fire going in the living room, which you will have full access to. You can also have access to a fridge for your food, and if you want to cook up something, that's fine too. I work as a school social worker in the county juvenile jail. I study and practice Nonviolent Communication, and I run a non profit organization called Selma Cafe that supports local food initiatives and sustainable agriculture. I teach yoga, and I love to knit, garden, cook, kayak, swim, and in the winter, cross country ski. I speak a little Spanish, I love to travel, and I enjoy hosting guests in my home. I look forward to connecting with you.
