Your host family consists of my wife Tatiana, a lovely student Celia from France, an Intern named Max from Germany, another Intern named Alex from Spain and me. We live in a lovely residential neighborhood surrounded by the beauties of nature in Hartsdale, a suburb of New York City. The home is large and tastefully furnished with five bedrooms, four bathrooms, two living rooms, a kitchen, a family room, a music room, a large office, a home theatre, a laundry room, a loft, WiFi internet and a large outdoor deck. We have a treadmill and a recumbent exercise bicycle at your disposal. We live one block away from a commercial avenue where many businesses, bars, cafes, retail stores, restaurants and supermarkets are located. There is an express bus stop to Manhattan on our street corner (45 minutes to midtown). In addition, we are within walking distance to the Harlem Line of the Metro North Railroad Station (30 minutes to midtown). I can obtain for you a discounted student train pass for $153 per month.
My wife and I are both professionals, I teach global history at a high school and Tatiana teaches instrumental music. Between the two of us, we speak Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Hungarian, Ukrainian and Russian. We are a diversified couple who love to travel and have seen most of the world. We understand and are sensitive to foreign cultures and welcome the diversities and customs of international guests.
Your stay with us will be comfortable, memorable, interesting and pleasurable. You will be considered one of the family and will enjoy the full reign of our home. Tatiana is a great cook and will prepare your favorite foods on request if you chose a meal plan. We frequently dine out and enjoy the diversities of Manhattan. You may join us whenever you desire. We can also recommend good language schools if you plan to study or assist you in finding a part time job if you need extra money.
Hope to hear from you,
Don & Tatiana

The price was good, and so was the company! Don is great, and always willing to help you find what you need, and had plenty of occasions for us to meet up with him and his other guests, which meant I had friends from the moment I arrived.
I ended up really close to a bunch of stores which made grocery shopping easy, and I was only 10 minutes from the place I worked.
I stayed for over 10 weeks for my summer internship and it was a real joy. If you're thinking of staying at Don's you'll be in good hands.
When I go New York again, I'll plan to see Don and his wife because they were just that great!
