Like the previous review, this review is not for the Charles Bridge apartment, but for an alternative listing on Wolkerova - near the Embassy Row area of Prague - which is also a private room in a shared accommodation.
Victoria has restored this apartment with great detail. It is very clean and beautiful. The kitchen and bathroom are especially elegant and large (although the separate toilet room has yet to be updated). The neighbourhood is a quiet, greener area of Prague. To get to Old Town, it took a relatively easy 15- to 20-minute walk to the metro stop. (It's just 2-3 metro stops from there, depending on where you're going.)
As a host, Victoria was very communicative and precise, and offered many great restaurant recommendations around Prague. Our only complaint was that halfway through our stay, the hot water supply to the bathroom stopped working. We emailed Victoria the next day to let her know. Although we never received acknowledgement of the problem from Victoria, plumbers arrived two days later to fix the issue.
If you don't mind being out of the city centre and the extra travel time required to get downtown, Victoria's Wolkerova apartment is a great way to experience gorgeous Prague - and maybe see some fantastic, non-touristy areas you wouldn't see otherwise.
Victoria was excellent at communicating and responding to any queries. I stayed at an alternate apartment to Charles Bridge which was spacious and in the Embassy area which is not so close to the tourist spots but this was clearly indicated to me. I would not hesitate to recommend Victoria as she was honest and efficient.
Victoria's apartment is an exceptional value in the best possible location in Prague, in my opinion. The apartment is comfortable, quiet, well equipped and clean. You won't be disappointed.
A great location, a hop, skip and jump from the Charles Bridge. An amazing setting under the rafters of a renovated historic building. A different view of Mala Strana out of each window. Stylish comfort and absolute quiet in a spacious environment. Victoria promptly and patiently:) responded to e-mail after e-mail I sent her, answering all my questions, as well as granting those special requests. Ruslan, the driver, who had picked me up at the airport, for a modest fee, also came to collect me upon departure--having been given a mere two hours' notice! Definitely a place to return to. (One caveat: if you are not an early bird, bring a sleep mask, as the sunlight pouring in through the overhead bull's-eye skylight might well tickle your eyelids open summer mornings...)
Victoria is a great host. She communicate with her guest regularly through emails and give clear instructions to her lovely apartment. Victoria's apartment is very cozy and comfortable for our stay in Prague. Her apartment is very near to Charles Bridge which is one of the must-see attraction in Prague. Most of the attractions are accessible by foot and through the public transport. Will definitely recommend others to this apartment for their stay in Prague :)
Thanks for letting us stay to stay at such a place! what you see in the photographs in airbnb is really what you get.
Very nice, spacious and comfortable! Enjoyed the old structure of the room is filled with simple decors. Towels, guidebook and maps are provided. :)
Didn't get to meet Victoria, but her housekeeper is staying within the house to provide help with the household stuff.
It was a great location to stay at, where we are just next to the famous Charles Bridge. It pretty easy to go around other places of interest too! However, we visit to Prague was limited by the flood which happened just b4 we arrive in the country. So cant cross the Charles bridge... :(
We had a great time at Vicoria's place. Lots of space and a very nice bathroom and kitchen! It is located in the middle of the nicest part of the centre and still very quiet. There is a small supermarket and a very nice restaurant(Residence U černého orla) at 100 meters from the app.
The price/quality is supperb! I recomment it to all travellers!
This was a great place to stay, although Mala Strana might be a bit too touristy and crowded for some people's interests. The apartment itself was clean with all the proper amenities. I would stay here over a hotel any time.
We had a wonderful time at this apartment! The location was perfect and the room was very spacious and clean. There were wonderful restaurants and grocery stores just around the corner and all of the major sites were very accessible.
This is a great place for any kind of traveller - I had a true relaxing stay for 3 nights there. Ruslan is very nice and helpful, gave me useful advices which make me feel warm. I'll definitely recommend this place to all of my friends who visit Prague.
