Stay in one of San Francisco's most exciting and convenient neighborhoods at our South Park Suite. South Park is a gem in the middle of the dynamic South of Market area. Great location and wonderfully decorated. Beds were very comfortable and loved the large bathroom, a rarity in SF!
Do NOT stay at this apartment under any circumstances. You will hear everything from the apartment above, including a sneeze and someone saying "Bless you." You will be awake whenever the people above are awake.
It looks tindy, but is not clean. For example, there were cobwebs inside the bedside lamp shades. Do not use any utensils without washing them first. There were silverfish bugs in the sink when we arrived.. etc
Half of the bulbs in the living/dining area did not work.. And had not been replaced in the 2 weeks we stayed there.
Be advised that you will arrive to find towels but no soap. Bring your own.
A purse of mine went missing. Luckily nothing of value was in it. Be advised that the host comes and goes. You will have no idea who else has a key. Do not leave anything of value there.
The "host" gives you an assist phone number. But unless the person actually picks up, you will get a message that this person has not yet set up a mailbox -- in other words, you cannot leave a message.
This is just a sampling of the problems. The price is absurd. I repeat: Do not stay at this apartment.
A friend and I stayed here for 4 nights to attend a conference at the Muscone Centre, which was only a 10-15 minute walk away. Lovely large and characterful San Francisco art deco apartment, spacious and comfortably furnished. Bathroom plumbing is a bit old in line with the age of the property and hence getting the right shower water temperature can be challenging. I agree with previous reviews about the South Park area being lovely- quiet and residential with plenty of good cafes and an excellent small supermarket round the corner. We never actually met anyone from the managing agency but given previous reviews had requested delivery of the keys to the property- for a fee of £25 these were left in a lock box at the house and we left them there on departure.
Lovely apartment. Good size. Good location. We really enjoyed are stay at South Park, we were able to walk to Union Square easily and access all the wonderful shopping. We were also very lucky to have ticket to see the Giants play at the AT and T park which was seconds away from the apartment.
Stay was great, lots of space for my coworkers and I to set up our laptops and crash. South Park is a great neighborhood, with lots of cute cafes, restaurants right around the corner and a beautiful park in the background.
This is a quaint apartment in the famous South Park area of San Francisco. The unit has 2 bedrooms and a spacious living room & dining area. There is a fridge, microwave, stove/oven to cook. You can tell the bathroom was recently renovated with new fixtures. This neighborhood is one of my favorites. When you walk out the door, you are steps from the park. A number of cafe's line the block, including The Butler and the Chef (best french toast in the city). The Embarcadero is a short walk away.
The check in process was smooth and easy. Jesse was a great communicator. I recommend the this to anyone who wants a true San Francisco experience.
The place was darling. It's the kind of place you would want to live in if you lived in San Francisco. A small park is right out side of your door! The block includes shopping @ Jermey's, cafes, a grilled cheese place, a french restaurant, a beer brewery, and the little deli/wine store called Hennesy's. I would recommend taking a morning walk along the water because it's just beautiful.
There were two things that could have been improved:
1) you couldn't control the heat.
2) the coffee maker needs to be replaced. It's broken and made a huge mess.
Nice place – terrible management company.
The management company, Casa Buena Vista Rentals, expects you to travel 4 miles away just to get the key and then return the key to the same 4 mile distant location. It’s a $17.80 cab ride – one way. When was the last time you rented a place and couldn’t get the key on-site or couldn’t get the key pad code by email (there is a key pad on this unit). Alternatively, Casa Buena Vista Rentals will offer to send you the key in advance and allow you to leave the key in the rental after – for an additional $50. Really.
The least they could do is put that information in the description of the unit.
And when I complained about this, one of the people at Casa Buena Vista Rentals offered to reduce the key service to $25. But that person didn’t follow through – he left the country and didn’t arrange to have the key mailed. Another person at Casa Buena Vista Rentals didn’t bother to return my calls – his excuse was that he had stated the policy and he felt that our communication was over at that point. And finally, a third Casa Buena Vista Rentals person hung up on me after saying I was “being difficult”.
Check out other reviews on TripAdvisor: all negative on the management. (website hidden)(phone number hidden)-South_Park_Suite-San_Francisco_California.html
In the end, I received an email from Casa Buena Vista Rentals asking if there was any reason I would give them a negative review. It’s clear that Casa Buena Vista Rentals just doesn’t understand that they’re in a customer service business.
TO THE OWNERS OF THE UNIT: Nice place, but you might want to consider a new management company.
From Andrew H and Sascha B from Australia: The place was nice – great location and clean. Jesse came and fixed an issue with the door and also helped us track down someone to do our Laundry which was great. Would definitely stay here again.
The place was really nice. Host was friendly, very helpful and always available when needed.
