The Hérault valley offers a wide range of activities, from site seeing (e.g. UNESCO listed village of Saint Guilhem, Grotte de Clamouse, Pézenas...) to swimming, canoeing (Gorges de l'Hérault, Lac du Salagou), walking, climbing, VTT, horse riding...
Local markets are worth a visit in their own right (Clermont l'Hérault/Wed, Montpeyroux/Thurs, St André de Sangonis/Fri, Gignac/Sat).
The region is extremely rich in winemaking, with local producers increasingly catching international recognition.
I am passionate about my region and will be very happy to organise against a modest fee local visits such as a discovery trip to my vineyards and olive trees in my 2CV, walks (from beginners to advance), caves...
I am an ambassador for the region, which brings in reductions to local touristic services.
Good parking is available on the village square.

What a wonderful experience! Lagamas is a small, well-preserved village in a very beautiful part of the world, vineyards as far as the eye can see and only a short drive from medieval villages, castles and ruins. There are also some stunning walks around the area... not to mention the wine - incredible! Denis was an extremely kind, helpful and generous host and really made our stay in Lagamas memorable. His local expertise was really greatly appreciated. The house itself is beautiful, a traditional winemakers' cottage - a real gem. Very highly recommended!
Denis was a very friendly and interesting host- a genuine local of the region. His grange studio was charming, with a great view. Very reasonable for the price we paid. (But don't forget there is no internet access here.) I wish we had more time to spend in the area as Denis would have been a willing and helpful guide.
