The Space

Cozy and cheerful, super large private bedroom in a lovely Brooklyn brownstone. Located on a wonderful landmark block in the ethnically diverse and vibrant neighborhood of Crown Heights. The space offers all the comforts that a home away from home can provide, plus a beautiful garden refuge!
Approximately 15 mins. from Manhattan by train and in close proximity to some of Brooklyn's many charms ex. the historic Brooklyn museum, botanical gardens, prospect park,Brooklyn children's museum, and a host of wonderful restaurants, whatever your budget!
Your own private bedroom has a sitting area with television, dvd player, ipod dock, wifi, selection of books and magazines... even a yoga mat!Sounds good, doesn't it? Well,it gets better ! The space has 2 separate entrances on 2 different floors... so you can come and go as you please. And let's not forget the benefits of a garden reprieve! When the weather is cool, have your breakfast outside. When it is hot,get all the sun you want without going to the beach... New York is not known for it's beaches anyway! Big plus ,wifi connection also extends to the garden!

  • Very nice stay at Debbie's home. So well decorated ! The situation is fine, next to the A-C train (20min to Manhattan). We recommend this place !!

  • Debbie's place is out of this world, beautiful decorated, and the garden is an oasis in Brooklyn, haven't seen anything like it in NYC. She makes you feel so welcome, and home for that matter. I would recommend this place to anybody anytime !

  • Staying at Debbie's place we couldn't choose better. The apartment was clean and very comfy - ideal place for 2. Everything worked fine. It's located about 10min from direct train to Manhattan (~ 30min). The only thing that didn't work out was that we did not have a chance to meet Debbie - it turned out she was on a month vacation in India. Anyway most recommended!

  • This is great place to stay in Brooklyn. Lots of new restaurant popping up in the neighborhood. When we got there Debbie was called away on an unexpected trip. She left us with a list of emergency contacts, grocery stores, and more in case we needed it. She also left us with a calling card to reach her outside of the country. We really enjoyed staying here and would recommend this place to anyone!

  • My sister and I had a very good time at Debbie's place !!!
Her place is very comfy, cozy, peaceful in a good neighbourhood reminds us our childhood's Tv programs in which we used to dream to be ! Also, public transports are very close to her place .

And the decoration is stunning, incredible, colourful as we love!!! reflecting her travels.

And this beautiful lady was a very nice with us, veryyyy helpful.
She is also an amazing designer!

As it was our first time in NYC ( so much things to do and because of the jet lag lol) we have not seen her that much but we would definitely come back to her place for our next trip to NYC! We couldnt asked for a better host !
Everything was perfect ! Thanks a lot Debbie ! We wish you All the best xxx

  • We had a great time at Debbie's place! Our hostess was such a great person, friendly, sunny, helpful and generous. We felt at home in that area of Brooklyn which we woudn't have seen if we had stayed in Manhattan all the time. One nice thing is the separate entrance to the room which enables full privacy if needed. Kitchen and bathroom are nice and clean, too. We would highly recommend this lovely place. And thank you Debbie for everything, see you next time in Brooklyn at your place some time!

  • If you plan to visit New York, this is the place to stay! The bedroom is big and lovely decorated, the bathroom and kitchen are clean and pretty, the garden is a real oasis. You can simply feel that the flat shines with positive energy. Debbie is a wonderful person and host, we had profound conversations that open the door to deeper perception of reality. I was also honored to meet Debbie's mom, who is really really special, and also was glad to meet some of her friends. I recommend this place to everyone who visits New York, and I plan to stay there when I visit the city in the future!

  • It was not our first Time in nyc but it was the best
Debbie his a lovely person, it's very difficult for us to explain what we felt during that days on his house.
Everything was perfect, the room, the "love" garden, his mom and all his friends that we met during this days.
finaly we spend a lot of time with her and his friends, it was an amazing experience.
On this house you can feel love, peace and happiness, it's was the perfect place, with very nice people in a good neighborhood.
IT WAS OUR BEST NYC TRIP !!!

  • Debbie is a wonderful person and host. As a host she was attentive but unobtrusive. Generous and always available if we had a question or wanted a quick chat, she has such a warm, infectious energy and love of life and people.

This energy definitely comes across in her place. The flat is beautifully decorated and the garden a relaxing place to unwind for a few minutes - it feels far from the bustle of New York

We found it easy to reach the metro to get to Manhattan (about 45 minutes from the door, depending on where in Manhattan) and other parts of Brooklyn. This area of Brooklyn is also very vibrant with some beautiful brownstone architecture. Nearby Franklin Avenue has some nice, trendy cafe's and bars. And while we were there, was building up for a huge carribean festival.
