This is a charming little studio apartment with a private entrance in the capital city of New York. The furnished studio apartment consists of a main room with reading chair and desk, a fully stocked kitchen with dining area and a full bathroom.
We have a twin size real mattress stored under the main full size bed that can be pulled out and used for children.
Our location is just a few houses away from Washington Park. We are walking distance to SUNY Albany Downtown Campus, Rockefeller Institute of Government & College of Saint Rose (5 minutes); Albany Medical College, Albany College of Pharmacy & Albany Law School (15 minutes); Center Square, Empire Plaza and all the state government offices (20 minutes).
We are close to shops, restaurants, and all major bus lines.
The kitchen has basic utensils, dishes, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster oven, stove/oven, fridge.
Free wireless internet.
No pets and no smoking in the studio or on the porch.
Parking is on the street.
Washer/dryer available upon request for longer stays.
The Park has several tennis courts so bring your rackets or borrow ours!
We live in the building with our (quiet) toddler and can help out with any questions that might arise.
We are very flexible on the check-in time, but we prefer it to be before 10pm as we have a toddler!
Perfect. Good wifi, clear kitchen, and really considerate host Megan. I was so healed because I stayed in NYC before Albany and I'm a bit tired. I enjoyed cooking myself. Bath room, kitchen, only for the guest. I'm sure I'll be back when I visit the town.
My boyfriend and I had a great time staying at Megan's apartment The studio was adorable, well stocked, and came with a Scrabble game which I loved. Even though we didn't meet until the day we checked out, Megan was extremely helpful via text message. I definitely recommend the apartment over a hotel and would love to stay there again for my next visit to Albany.
This was my first experience with airbnb and it couldn't have gone smoother. Megan was a friendly, accessible, and welcoming host. The apartment was clean and cheery. A nice touch was the fresh milk, eggs, and OJ left for us in the fridge. The kitchen is very homey and outfitted with many staples (coffee, tea, sugar, oil), in addition to the usual dishes and cutlery. The location is beautiful, right next to a lovely park. Highly recommended!
I really enjoy my experience at Megan's warm studio. She has been so nice and thoughtful and supportive! My travel schedule got change last minute due to flight cancelation, and she has been so nice and flexible. I really appreciate it. The studio has everything you need, everything is clean and nice. And it is a perfect location . definitely recommended!!!!!!!!!!
A perfect little apartment in a nice Albany neighborhood. Megan left us a helpful list of nearby restaurants & grocery stores. We were there only briefly, bit it was a great spot for us.
If you are looking to travel to Albany, I highly recommend Megan's place. It's super convenient, always neat and she has been super helpful!
Nice accommodations. Convenient location. Easy to communicate with. This was our second stay there and would stay there again if we need to be in Albany.
Why would you ever book a hotel when you can stay here!?! This studio apartment is awesome! It has everything you could possibly need during your stay. The kitchen came stocked with 6 organic eggs, milk, organic butter, 3 types of coffee, multiple types of tea, a tea pot, a full-sized coffee maker, a blender, a food processor, plates, mugs, glasses, utensils, a first aid kit, a lint brush, shampoo, body wash, a desk of cards, Scrabble and four extra blankets. Oh… and a bouquet of fresh flowers!
Those are just the perks. The house is located on a side street, backing up to beautiful Washington Park, between two main roads (Western Ave. and Madison Ave.). The front room is the bedroom and looks out onto the porch. The bed was comfortable and warm, an important thing in Upstate New York winter. It had an armchair, a full-sized bed, a chest of drawers, a desk, a shelf and one of the two radiators. Behind the bedroom was the kitchen, including a small table with two chairs, a full sized refrigerator/freezer, a gas stove with an oven and all the previously mentioned extras, plus more. The bathroom had the second radiator, the toilet, sink, a stand-up shower and plenty of fluffy towels. Everything was sparkling clean. Parking is on the street, but we had no problem getting a spot close to the house.
There are many great places to eat within a short, 5-minute walking distance, and many more if you are willing to walk about 20 minutes. Had it not been below freezing outside, we could have walked nearly everywhere we wanted to go.
Check-in and out was super easy.
I have raved to multiple people about this studio apartment. Every time I come to Albany, I’m staying here. I’ve told friends in Albany they should have their other family and friends who visit stay here.
Another excellent stay at this wonderful place. Thank you!
Very comfortable small apartment with complete kitchen stocked with some food. It is a fairly short walk from Albany Medical Center. We made the reservation the day before and Megan got back to me quickly to confirm.
