This beautiful studio flat is located in Koregaon Park, within easy walking distance of Osho International meditation resort. As an artist, I have used decorative paint effects and sculpted the space around the unique shape of the room to create a warm and welcoming environment. There are also some of my original artworks decorating the walls. A window running along the entire length of the room overlooks the Mulla river and two huge trees, much frequented by birds and squirrels, making you feel that nature is your immediate neighbour.
The space comprises a large double bed, sizable wardrobe with drawer, a coffee table and two chairs, a desk . The kitchen area is equipped with a fridge, double gas stove, pots, utensils, crockery and cutlery, food storage containers and cupboards. The bathroom features a solar-heated shower, givng a continuous supply of hot water.
Koregaon Park is the most beautiful location in Pune, with lots of trees and greenery, and pleasant residential streets and park for early monring or evening walks. There are plenty of restaurants and bars offering a wide variety of international cuisine. Shops just a few yards from the house sell toiletries, basic foods and other household products. Koregaon Park is about 20 minutes from the airport and about 10 minutes from the train and bus stations.
Pune is one of the most developed cities in India, situated about three and a half hours from Mumbai, It is a centre for many international businesses with a major university and many other educational institutions.
Awesome location and beautiful apartment! Samit welcomed me into the home and was on call in case I needed anything. There's a full kitchen so I was able to cook some food and make lots of chai.
There were some issues with the Internet. It appeared that construction around the building had cut the wire so I had no Internet connectivity for my two week stay. Not the biggest issue for me as I had Internet on my phone and the Starbucks nearby had good Internet.
Small studio apartment Well equipped kitchen. Great welcome by Samit. Had problems of network and coverage which wifi solved. Thank you
Silvester's house is a beautiful place to spend relaxing time, with positive energy and his creative talent is stamped in his house.
It is a beautifully designed home for a great experience.
He gave me one of the finest brief on facilities, location and contacts before he left me in very capable hands of his friend.
My sister stayed there during our last trip and i quote her words "Attention to details is perfect, he has thought of every small thing a visitor might need and provided it, be it candles or repellents for mosquitoes, be it stocked pantry or the equipped bathroom. I really liked quiet mornings in his balcony enjoying tea"
His most amazing friend ensured that we received the key and intro to his house seamlessly even though Silvester himself was out of country when we arrived.
This is the best apartment we have rented in India! Is a studio, perfectly fits for two people, and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Decoration is very nice with some of Silvester's paintings and it was perfectly clean. Wealso appreciated cooking after some time travelling, and kitchen had all stuff. Also you can enjoy in the terrace the fresher Pune's weather, a release of the hot in the rest of India. It's located just a short walk from Osho's meditation center. Silvester is a very kind and generous man, we highly recommend to stay in his place. The neighbourhood is very quiet and safe, where many expats stay, so you will find occidental style restaurants too nearby.
Silvester is a terrific host, and a remarkable person with a genuinely receptive and caring spirit. His apartment had a warm and cheerful energy, and was decorated with some truly amazing artwork (all created by Silvester himself!) All the necessities are provided, including WIFI, flat-screen TV with English movie channels, kitchen with a fridge, gas stove and toaster oven, filtered drinking water, Western-style bathroom, and a washing machine (clothing).
This was my first trip to India, and after lots of research I decided that Koregaon Park was the best choice of areas to stay. There were many ex-pats/foreigners walking the streets, and I was able to find lots of great shops and restaurants in walking distance. I walked just about everywhere (but didn't miss a chance to take an exhilarating ride in a rickshaw (they call an "auto"), which are easy to find on the block, and can take you anywhere in Pune.
After long days of exploring the city, Silvester's apartment was always such a nice place to come home to and relax.
I was in India for over a month without my family, and I found a host who became an instant friend, and made me feel not just like a welcomed guest in India, but an honored guest. Thank you, Silvester! Your apartment and friendship were exactly what I needed on my journey!
