This place was much better than I expected for the price. It's tucked away from the main city giving it a tranquil atmosphere.. yet within a short walk to the main road that goes to Manuel Antonio and Quepos. Bus stop is right there, making trips to the beach or town only about $.60. The porch is great, we were lucky enough to see some monkeys. The apartment was super clean and had everything you'd expect. Keep in mind this place does not have AC, however, being tucked up on the hill you get a nice breeze in the afternoon that cools everything down. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay here. Highly recommended.

Great stay in the apartment! Great location, 10 walkable minutes to all the stores and restaurants you need, right next to public transit that takes you to Manuel Antonio for 295 colones. Communication was great, host even helped us with transportation ideas back to San José that saved us a lot of money. On arrival, she had bottled water (major plus for me) and fresh fruits. If you're as lucky as we were, you might see several monkeys hanging out on your balcony! She also helped get rid of some geckos that had slipped in. Very sweet woman. There was no A/C in the apartment, only fans. The first night was so insanely hot I was debating getting another place, but we stuck it out and the following three nights weren't as bad. I definitely recommend the place.

When we arrived the place was very clean, quite spacious and looked exactly like on pictures. Grettel welcomed us with a lovely chat, lots of tips and a bag full of amazing fruits. Salt, sugar, coffee all was there for us to use. There is a balcony (shared with one more room) and amazing tarrace upstairs, both with nice views all for you to enjoy. Flat is located just at edge of Quepos on the way to Manuel Antonio, so car is not needed, the bus stop (bus to Manuel Antonio every 15-20min), shops etc. all within less than 10 min. walk (felt more like 5min. but we didn't measure it). The only minus for us was lack of AC as it is humid and you do feel the heat. I had problems with sleep even with fans on (we were there at the beginning of April it was 36C), but Grettel says that AC is not there in the advert and you know what you agree to. Also we live in UK, so we are not used to the heat at all. There are tiny ants in the kitchen, but we put all the food to the fridge and it was fine. The place is at the edge of the jungle (as stated on advert), so I expected many more bugs, but there were no more unexpected visitors. We have seen amazing birds from the balcony too. Overall basic, nice, quite spacious and clean place in good location if you don't mind to get a bus - around 15-20 min. ride for the beach, which suited us. Also a nice host, who will give you tips when you need them but also the privacy.

Grettel's place is conveniently located near the center of Quepos yet away from the noise the town can produce. You can pretty much count on seeing capuchin monkeys in the trees surounding the house. Communication with Grettel was easy and fast.

Great spot! Apartment is right by the road to Manuel Antonio (a 7 kilometre drive). Easy walk to multiple tour company's. Have your muscles ready to bring your bags up the stairs. Room was spotless. Patio is beautiful and has a cloths line to dry your beach clothes. We would stay here again. MONKEYS!! We saw monkeys hanging off the trees on the property twice in our 3 day stay. Grettel was a great host. Thanks!

Close to all night life in quepos, right along the road to manuel antonio. Nice patio with a view of all of quepos out to the water. We didn't spend much time in the air bnb as there is so much to do in quepos and manuel antonio. All good!

Perfect location : we were very close to the center of Quepos (about 10 minutes by foot) and yet, completely isolated from the noise of the road passing close - contrary to most of the hotels we've seen nearby. And the house just sits on top of that residential area, with a beautiful view on the neighbourhood, and on the Pacific ocean in the distance. On the way to Manuel-Antonio, without all the touristic visual noise that you'll find on the way there. Really, it's a perfect location. We had a car but never used it while on Quepos. Count on birds in the morning, if you're a bird-watcher. Peaceful, quiet, surrounded by greenery on three sides (and that includes the squirrel-monkeys and white-faced monkeys that greeted us on our arrival, on our balcony). We had the pleasure of ending each day sitting on the balcony overviewing the area. The place is impeccable clean, equipped with two fans in each bedroom (more than enough). Shower is vast, clean, comfortable. One very small detail that didn't really bother us but could be important to others : equipment for cooking is rather basic, so be prepared if cooking was your plan. Don't count on sugar or salt or anything non-perishable either : what you have is what you bring - except for a breakfast based on fruits the first morning, which was nice. Our host was very nice, discrete and ready to help. We had a very good time there and will recommend it to our friends travelling the country. I'd go back any time with pleasure.
